Faux Sure!
Gwyneth Paltrow proves being a bit pregnant can be majorly chic at the Music Has Power Awards in New York. She shows maternal fashion instincts by covering her new bump with a short, sheer black Stella McCartney cocktail dress, a mid-calf faux fur trimmed coat and polite black pumps. And she smartly draws attention upward with an elegant sideswept bun and ballroom-size chandelier diamond drop earrings. We'd expect nothing less from the actress long hailed as America's fashion queen.
Lord of the Shag
Elijah Wood gets a little kinky at the Los Angeles premiere of The Return of the King. He's an old-style Sharp Dressed Man with spiky short hair, Ray Davies sideburns, retro wide-lapel vintage striped suit with fit 'n' flare trousers, Jay Lindberg purple shirt and black tie with a guitar design. Frodo looks more like he survived a GQ swinging-'60s fashion flashback than the fires of Mordor. But no matter how retro he goes, he'll always be our precious.
Matching Witless
We're guessing Queer Eye's Fab Five helped Tom Cruise and Penélope Cruz concoct their matching all-black "we're sooo together" outfits for the L.A. premiere of The Last Samurai. Tom looks like a metrosexual Ken doll with shorn hair, scruffy beard, turtleneck and leather jacket. And little Miss Penny Lope looks less than perky (and plenty knock-kneed) in spike heels and a saggy strapless vintage chiffon Emanuel Ungaro haute couture frock. The only thing creepier than their same-sounding last names? They're starting to look alike.
Elf Portrait
Liv Tyler is drop-dead gorgeous at the Return of the King premiere. She looks regal in a sheer 'n' sparkly black Alexander McQueen gown with a ruffled ribbon bodice and a "shrug" shoulder wrap. Love the glowing skin, glossy lips and sparkling crystal drop earrings. The only thing missing is the sexy pointy Elven ears. No wonder this princess finally gets the mortal king's full attention. Long live (literally) the Queen!
