Who's your favorite artist that deserves more recognition? - Eternal Allegiance

Hey Guys!

I know theres a lot of singers out there whom are well established, yet they aren't Top 40 or mainstream type music. Not something you'd turn the radio on and find them playing it most of the time.

My favorite would have to be my girl, Myra. She's the best. She sang in the Princess Diaries movie with the song, "Miracles Happen." You might also have heard the song from another Disney movie, "Dancing in the Streets." She's opened up on many tours including Nickelodeon and Disney.

I suggest you all go check her out.. her site is www.myramusic.com. (Very cool site btw!) The song "Lie, Lie, Lie" is amazing. My girlfriend is actually best friends with Myra. I'm gonna go see them in San Antonio, TX on August 2nd.. I Can't wait. I'll tell you guys about it.

Anyway.. so who's your favorite artist that deserves more recognition?

Well ofcorse. When it comes to radio I'd like to see Brit do better. But ofcorse Britney is one of the most famous out there right now. Everybody who wants to be in the business is aiming to be the next Britney Spears.

Green Day all the way. I don't hear much of their music on the radio, even though they have tons and tons of great songs to be played.

As far as radio goes - Mariah.

As far as talent goes, I liked that girl Mikaila, and the girl Kandi. Also I think that even though he is widely famous, Marilyn Manson should be recognized in a better light - seems its always something negative.

Okay I really don't understand this - how can you say MORE recognition is needed for Britney? That's about the stupidest thing I have ever seen. More recognition - right...like you can't just walk up to ANYONE on the street and say Britney and them be like 'that slut' or 'hell yeah' or 'she's hot'...come on people, answer the REAL question.

I think Hikaru Utada (or Utada Hikaru, if you want to get technical about it) deserves more recognition in the States. She's very famous in Japan and she's already established herself in the rest of Asia. I hope the release of the PS2 game "Kingdom Hearts" brings her to more American listeners.
