Does anyone get teased and made fun of for being a Britney fan? I am constantly taking jibes from my friends and family because I like Brit and think she has talent (which she does).

It really gets on my nerves sometimes. I think as a 19 year old it is up to me who to like and to hell with anyone who's got a problem with my choices when it comes to favourite musical artists.

Am I alone in being made fun of just for being a fan of Britney?

My brother enjoys teasing me about me being a Britney fan, sometimes when he's in a really bad mood he'll get really serious and rant about how much he dislikes her ..... that's when I switch off! My dad teases me about it as well as does my best friend Simon, but I know it's only teasing, unlike my brother.

My other friends don't really say anything about it.

As for anyone who will make serious fun of you for liking Britney, you should just tell them where to stuff it. Everyone is entitled to their own musical tastes and shouldn't have to be made fun of for it, but that's the way some people can be.

I think alot of people get teased for liking Britney. I know I do. BUT, that's when you just got to say 'screw 'em'. I don't think that ANYONE should let you decide what kind of music you listen to. So, I would just tell you to forget them, and continue to love and support Brit.

I suppose I am really lucky because no-one has ever said anything nasty to me about me liking Britney, or about Britney herself. All of my friends either like Britney, or don't mind her, and my family don't really pay much attention to her. Hell, even my brother who likes Eminem, 50 Cent, etc, doesn't mouth off about Britney at all.

Hmmmm not really, but you don't need to give a shit when people do. In my case, people are like music lovers.. if Britney has a good song, they gonna love it and if it's bad, they gonna hate it And the girls that don't really like her, don't really hate her. Not a hate and I'm not teased. Don't let people tease ya about it.

Exactly as Stinger said, my friends gave up on teasing me about Britney. Now when they say that she's a slut or can't sing, I'll just ignore them, and they don't really understand that. However, I also know when to keep my mouth shut about her. I rarely talk about Britney in school or anywhere because I know that it'll bring controversy.

My brother use to always tease me for liking "that slut", but he gave it up after while. Now, I return the favour and tease him for liking Avril. It works both ways.

The rest of my family is totally cool with my fascination for Britney. They think she's the sweetest thing on two legs. I couldn't agree more.

Once in a while I'll have some moron walk past me on the street and say something moronic.
