A Post on Respect For Britney - Eternal Allegiance

In the few years since I've become a Britney fan I've learned there's countless ways to respect the girl. Respect obviously has to be earned and on some of these I didn't even know these areas existed until after my respect grew for her there. The fact is has to be earned makes it very difficult sometimes to try to get other people to respect the same things about her if they don't want to try and see it or give it chance. I think the bottom line is that I'd like people to respect Britney for something.

To give an idea how much ground this can cover he's a brief rundown of some of the things I respect Britney for. I respect her for her singing, she's got real talent there few seem to gie her credit for. I respect her for dancing. I'd like to be able to move like that

Her performances too, she puts on a great show and is a real pro at what she does up there. I respect her for all the work she puts into those shows, especially when it comes to touring. That takes a lot of stamina to do.

People can respect one, or any combinaion of the above about Britney and still not like her. So I guess I'd like them to like her too, which seems to be slightly more than I must be asking for. Some of the intangible things can get respect for her though. I respect her drive. When she wants something, she wants it, and will do what she has to do to get it but at the same time doesn't want it handed to her unless that too was given to her by working for it. I respect her determination, she's come this far and didn't get here by giving up, that must surely say something. Her work ethic, wow. She puts so much into her work, a lot of which I'm sure she's done that we don't even know about yet. She also got where she is today because of how much and hard she's willing to work, I don't think many could do the hours she's put into this for so long.

I think by the end of this I'll have worn out the word 'respect'

On another front, the one which the media seems unaware of and fans all too aware, I respect her feelings. If she says she's uncomfortable with something like a topic or whatnot, I'm not gonna try and bring it up for the purpose of bringing it up. I respect that she's a lady and should be treated like one. I don't think there'd be as many rumors about her if people respected her more that way. It has a way of deterring rumors on its own. I also respect her body and what has gone into having as great a body as she does. I respect that it's hers, and noone should be able to tell her what to do with it, or what they want to do with it, without her consent. I think the implant rumor will forever leave me feeling like this on her body as well as too many hormonally charged fans I've seen from board to board who see her for too much of a one-deminsional way. Her body is a beautiful and sacred thing, especially to her, and I think that should be respected.

Generally, I just respect her. She surprises me so often with what she's capable of. Who would've thought, that 3 years ago, this small town girl would have had such an impact on music and pop culture? I think there's a chance she was given the world's stage for a reason, whatever it may be, and I'm curious to find out what she has yet to do, given all the accomplishment's she's done so far. I hope she can earn more people's respect in that time, since there's really no shortage of ways one can respect someone else.

Everything you've written there also applies to my viewpoint of showing Brit (as well as other artists) the respect she deserves. Just because people may not like her, they should, at the least, show her respect. There are other artists out there who I don't care much for, but the one thing I do care about is showing them respect. Each and every artist in the music industry today has worked endless hours to get to where they are today, which takes lots of will and determination. I feel that if people would respect these artists, as well as the artists themselves respecting each other, this world would be a much happier place to live in.

With Britney, it really angers me when I hear someone disrespect her or say something off color about her. People do have a right to their opinions of others, but only within reason. If they don't have a logical reason to backup their comments towards her, then they need not say anything at all. It seems to me that every little thing that Britney does is always looked up on through a telescope and that, in turn, causes people to disrespect her. Everything she's done, she has done for a reason. Some people may not think so, but it's the truth. Take for instance, the incident which took place at the UK premiere of Crossroads. The reason for Britney not hanging around to meet and greet the crowd outside was because of security precautions. Knowing how much Brit has been targeted by stalkers and everything, I feel her actions were correct. She did wave to the crowd and acknowledged them. She later requested to go out to meet and greet them. But, due to security reasons, they kept her inside.

I respect Britney for many things - Her singing, her talent, her beauty, her in-your-face, hell's angel attitude, her personality, her determination, her independence[/b], her ability to keep a smile on her face when faced with critics & controversy, her fashion savy, and mostly, her ability to touch people's lives, to be a source for inspiration. This hold true for me, Britney is an inspiration to me. She's saved me twice from ending my life when all my problems became too much to handle. She's been there with her music and her smile to cheer me up when I'm not feeling the greatest.

wow, these forums really do make home to some of the most amazing Britney Spears fans out there. Ephrils and XtremelyBJS2004, I've got some respect for you both! You stated your opinions and how you felt. That takes guts and obviously you two feel very passionate about such. Especially you Ephrils!

Congrats to you both, and in the effort of a shortened post.

I'll just flat out agree with everything you guys said! Well put!

Well said Ephrils...i totally agree with everything u said. It's not fair that Britney doesn't alwayz get the respect she deserves but it is nice to see her fans here at the forums who do recognize it. I've alwayz respected Britney...everytime i think about what she's done ever since she's hit the music scene, i still can't believe it. She's amazing and will alwayz have my support and respect!

This was a great post E, I give you lots of credit for expressing your feelings like this. As you can see, I did the same. Then to Xtant, thanx so much for your hospitality and kindness. I never knew that I would come to meet such great people as the two of you. I consider you both as best friends, as well as fellow TRUE Britney fans.
