Great news! For em at least. Very good.

It seems as if Jive Records knows what is best for Britney Spears. After a recent media overhaul thanks to a wedding, a greatest hits album, and a possibly pregnancy Jive Records has decided not to release a new album by Britney Spears this year. Britney had already been working on a follow-up to 2003's, 'In The Zone,' but the plans were shelved according to a Jive insider. 'The media and record buying public have been exposed to way too much Britney and because of that her album, 'Original Doll,' has been pushed to the 2006 release schedule,' according to the source. Instead, Britney will try for a family and slowly but surely record new material.

Great idea if you ask me. She HAS gotten too much publicity in the past year. I sort of agree with the phrase, "There's no such thing as bad publicity". Publicity is good, but too much can be harmful I think. Besides, she needs time off...she just got married and she wants to have children so she definitely needs to take some time to herself for a while.

Do they really think she's gonna be talked about much less within the next year? Britney has been talked about non-stop since 1998. Come on.

I don't really care when it comes out, I just hope the album is even more "her" and that she has more say in her music. I would love that with the release of her next album - whatever it's called and whenever it's released - that she's praised more about her music so that she gets more respect as an artist. Britney is one of those celebrities that people love to talk about, love to love, love to hate, and love-to-hate-but-secretly-listen-to-and-talk-about. I don't know if that will ever stop. But to gain more respect as a musician and for her craft I think would be nice.

It's funny to me that people always want new music and when she takes a break they get upset...then she comes backish from the break and they want her to go on a break. And even when she does break people follow her like crazy and talk about her and *sighs*

Well, I guess I'll be one of the few to say it, but that upsets me. I was all looking forward to the new album this year.

Hopefully it works out for the better, though.

Well, I was upset too. When she says she's coming out with an album, I expect her to come out with an album, you know? But yeah, I'm gonna assume it's for the best so...

I think she owes us fans something, just for dangling that little peice of excitement in our faces and then taking it away like that. I mean, that's just rude. She should release Mona Lisa as like a 4-track EP or something. 4-new-track EP I should say.
