I'm downloading the song now...my friend and I actually dled it at a New Years Party, and first listen I didn't like it. So I'm going to listen to it more and give myself a chance to fall in love with it. I usually don't like her songs right off the bat anyways.

If you think about it, this really isn't 'soon' to make a new album. If she releases it in the fall it will have been 2 years since ITZ. I don't really cong MP:GH to be a real album, since she did like zero promotion and only recorded like one new song for it. 2 years is a decent time to wait before a new album. I think she probley has had lots of material to write about since then.

I love the album title. It sounds so Courtney Lovish to me.

I think "Do Somethin'" was probably recorded during Britney's sessions with Bloodshy & Avant: "Toxic," "My Prerogative," "I've Just Begun," and "Showdown." I bet "Tell Me What You're Sippin' On" was produced by them too. (?) Just by the title.

I think, though, "My Prerogative" was recorded exclusively for the greatest hits -- they just didn't plan on releasing it until after Britney finished touring. But since it didn't happen, they bumped the release date up by like, a year.

Anyway. I love the song. I'm not going to say it's the best she's ever done (I'll wait for an HQ, please), but I'm really pleased with the direction she's going in for this album. *gets excited 'cause I'm talking about Britney's new album* How exciting! I love the lyrics. It's quite...autobiographical. The "Ladies, does that make you cry? Fellas, you have to say goodbye" is like "Ladies, Kevin's taken. Boo hoo. Fellas, Britney's taken. BOO HOO!" I dunno! The song has like...a way different vibe than a lot of her stuff. The title is quite artsy, and it's quite well written. That's my 2 cents.

WOW!!! I can't believe ITZ is 2 years old!!! I know everyone's alll like "WHAT? ALREADY? IT'S TOO SOON!" but I guess Britney doesn't want people to think she's over... and that's what everyone thought after releasing GH:MP. Well, the stunt of teasing us with Mona Lisa is another one of her clever tricks. She's going to rock 2005. <3

If it hits radio in February, I doubt whatever record label she's on will make the same mistake as to release the album 3 months later. So I'm thinkin' if it's being released in February, the album will come out around...March? April? Wow.
