Poor old Britney Spears has been knocked back by Madonna after asking the aging pop star to be her new baby’s Godmother.
After being friends for a number of years and sharing and interest in the Kabbalah faith Madge turned down Britney’s offer saying that she was too busy!!! Nice.
An insider told the Sun: "Britney was so disappointed but told Madonna she understands."

I saw it flashing by on shownews here, so it's safe to assume that it is. I don't blame Madonna though, I mean they aren't that close friends. It would make more sense to ask Fe, I think. Afterall, Fe's been up and down the road with Britney countless of times, and Britney always said that Fe was her best friend. Unless something happened that I don't know about.

She'll probably ask Felica now, since this happened. Im pretty sure Fe will say yes. Britney has always thought that Madonna was/is a good mom, so she asked her 1st, on well. Madge is probably working on new music right now anyway.

too many magazines...too many stories. Can't they just leave Britney to have a peaceful pregnancy? She's going to get too stressed and have a high blood pressure probably, dangering the babies health. God damn the tabloids
