But, yes, she DID pose with them.

That is a bad picture, in my opinion. She looks like she's ready to pop a squat, and she looks like she's afraid of the alligators. Whereas, I'm assuming, the intention of the photo was to make it look like she was the opposite of afraid.

You're leaving out the reasons why. A freakin celebrity promoshoot? You gotta be kidding me.
That's no different to me than shooting a show for a network for a profit. It's the same thing. I just can't believe people blow stuff out of proportion this much. It's not like she was gonna make shoes or a purse out of the damned things.

These animals that are bred in captivity and/or are tamed to be in captivity wouldn't feel "safe" or "at home" going back to their natural habitat. Especially if they had been bred in captivity, so how again is this the same thing? An animal or even a human for that matter, is going to get upset when it has people poking around at it and whatnot when it just wants to be left alone. And if the animal becomes upset, it makes more sense to just say, "okay, enough" than to force it into something it doesn't want to do. Do you hold your cats down to take pics? I hope not. Why then should some poor animal be taped down to make some bitchy pop star look better? Exactly, they shouldn't. You can say it's the same thing but it's not.

And wow...that picture is really horrible. It should be animal cruelty for just having those alligators near her.

Then where do we draw the line? Do we say, "okay...as long as you're not going to make an accessory out of this animal, do what you will!" No. There has to be a line. Having the animal in the photoshoot, fine. But if it wants out, starts to get agitated, call it quits, it's not worth it. A person wouldn't want to be forced into doing something they didn't want to do. So why should animals?

Damned things?

The people on Animal Planet are professionals. They wouldn't make the animals pee from anxiety. I also think they have health reasons for catching them and such, but I don't watch the channel much so I'm not entirely into that.

But yeah if you shoot a show for profit with a type of animal that isn't meant to be domesticated and you fail to handle it professionally and then even proceed to brag about it, I'd also raise an eyebrow or two.

Im surprised they werent taped from the get go. Animals are wild, and they should be treated that way imo.

Beyonce is hardly the first person to use an animal for entertainment purposes, and she's not going to be the last. People need to take a breath, she didnt shoot the thing in the head. Its tape lol.

Its completely ridiculous that this even made news. Soon Im not going to be able to spray a damn spider because people will start claiming they have feelings and deserve respect.

Im not sure if you read my previous posts, I assume not, but I am against this kind of animal 'torture'. All I said in that quote was that there is a difference between taking a picture of your cat, and hire an animal because you want to use it in a photoshoot ect ect. My cat doesnt mind me taking a picture of her when she is playing, she wouldnt even notice. On the other hand, taking a wild animal to a photoshoot scene, or a performance, is something whooooooooooooooooole different. That was what I was trying to say.

And just because a wild animal is born in captivity, or is raised like that, doesn't mean it should be on a stage. Even tho they cannot survive in the wild, animals are not on this planet to become a circus act.

Beyonce is a bitchy popstar, yes I agree. She is spoilt and knew she did wrong. I never liked that girl anyway.

Animals are wild, they should be left alone. The term is hands off.

Aha, another one. I'm beginning to see patterns. Yeah but the other kid did it too! *points* I'm sure if the other kid jumps in a pile of crap, Beyonce will unquestionably follow his lead.

Apples and banana..nanana..nana NA's (phew) can't be compared, ya know.

I'm gonna use my magic wand, change you into a "thing" and then do a Beyonce on you. Then I'll change you back and if you ever complain about what I did to you, I'll turn you into a "thing" forever! *evil look*

"Humans have historically treated alligators badly. Skin and meat traders ranch them and slaughter them via slices through their spinal cords or bludgeon them with hammers. The alligator you handled probably faces this same end, after a life of confinement in captivity. "It seems a great pity that this animal's problems should be added to in the course of promoting your own work."
These people are obviously idiots. If we can't compare, neither can they. They cannot sit there and compare an animal being slaughtered to an animals mouth being taped so they don't harm someone. Good freaking god.
