| "Greatest Hits" | | okay i got this idea from Blender magazine. you know how they have a greatest hits of the artist on the cover? they have like 12 songs thats the artists greatest hits or whatever. well id thought we could recreate that. like every1 does that for their favorites artist. just pick 12 songs from the artists careers and whatnot. and put a small caption saying why and stuff. sooh and dont pick an artist with like one cd.. lmao duh. anyway. ill start.
Michelle Branch's Greatest Hits
1: Paper Pieces
i love how the sound is so different from the acoustic sounds of broken bracelet. i love the 'dadada's'.
2: Here With Me
the lyrics to this song are so good. "you know that silence is loud, when all you hear is your heart" a real good pop song.
3: Desperately (Live)
you can get this off kazaa. its 10000% better than the album version. its so emotional.
4: Drop In The Ocean
this song is so different from the rest of the songs on The Spirit Room. it starts off slow and then goes upbeat. its good.
5: Everywhere
come on. the first single off of TSR. its really good. and orgasmic performed live.
6: Fall (Live)
i wish the studio version would surface. this song is so great. the lyrics are <333333333
7: Sweet Misery (Acoustic)
taken off Broken Bracelet. its acoustic. duh. i love it. its so different from the poppish overproduced version on TSR.
8: Wanting Out
this is an unreleased song off the Are You Happy Now single. this song is so good. i cant believe it didnt make the Hotel Paper cut. the song reminds me of a safarii or something.
9: Are You Happy Now?
ahh so rocky<3 its so emotional too. i love it. its so different from the break up songs and love songs on her cds.
10: All You Wanted
i love this song. its saddish yet upbeat. good tune.
11: Breathe
i LOVE this song. its so good to drive with.
12: Goodbye To You (Radio Edit)
this version blows away any other version. <3

now its ur go.. |

| Mariah Carey's Greatest Hits
1: Outside
this one always helps me through rough times, and is vocally awesome.
2: Did I Do That?
what a perfect break-up song. it's just lyrically stimulating
3: Vision Of Love
you can't forget the song that started it all. thank god it started!! her first #1 hit.
4: Weakness of the Body
the rarest track from the late 80's. it was a track on her unreleased demo.
5: When I Saw You
this song...everytime I heard it my eyes water. it reminds me of someone that I really loved and still love, the only person I will ever have that much of a love for, that didn't feel the same way...this song just reminds me of how I felt and still feel at times.
6: I Only Wanted
this is the continuation of her #1 hit ''my all'' and is just as great. lyrically and vocally, one of her best.
7: Hero
you can't forget her biggest solo single, and one of the biggest singles of all-time, that still has great meaning to this day, and is still a higly requested songs when tragedy strikes. another #1 hit.
8: One Sweet Day
her biggest hit ever, as well as one of the sweetest songs I've ever heard. thank boyz ii men for adding great harmony to the track, as well. also a #1 hit.
9: Through The Rain
i can't really express what a great deal this song means to me. its just...it really does help those who struggle to get by...
10: Dreamlover
a classic song, and yet another #1 for her.
11: Forever
just how long her career will last...as well as one of the best fucking songs EVER written.
12: Whenever You Call
vocally, in my opinion, her best song. the lyrics are awesome, and the duet with brian mcknight that was released on a different album, is also even better. |

My Madonna's favorite song ever.
Vogue
This one also has to be there because it's just different from the other stuff.
Secret
I always loved this track the guitar is really good!
Frozen
A awesome song that deserves its place.
Ray Of Light
Great upbeat song one of the best of Madonna.
Music
No need to explain why, it did so well and I love it.
American Life or Nothing Fails or Hollywood
The album did bad but it still has good songs on it. |

| OK i'm sorry that this is going to have more than 12 song...ok so i'm not sorry but it IS going to have more than 12 songs.
Beck -- Greatest Hits
* 1.) MTV Makes Me Wanna Smoke Crack
- Beck's first single, very entertaining haha
* 2.) Loser
- The song that started it all, I love the music to it and the lyrics are fun too
* 3.) Pay No Mind (Snoozer)
- This is personally one of my favorite songs off of 'Mellow Gold' and I like the video for it too.
* 4.) Beercan
- I love this song too, it is also the last off of 'Mellow Gold' that should be on the greatest hits (in my opinion because we have so many more to go ha)
* 5.) Where Its At
- The song off of 'Odelay' that brought Beck back onto the scene. This song is fun...I got two turntables and a microphone...
* 6.) Devil's Haircut
- One of my favorite songs off of 'Odelay', I love the lyrics and the end when he is screaming 'GOT A DEVIL'S HAIRCUT IN MY MIND' haha
* 7.) The New Pollution
- This song IS my favorite song off of 'Odelay', it is very retro and the video is great too, it is the first Beck video I remember seeing and I have loved it ever since then (1997)...
* 8.) Sissyneck
- There were a couple of other singles off of 'Odelay' besides the ones mentioned but I decided to make this the last one on the GH's because I really like this song.
* 9.) Tropicalia
- Off of Beck's 7th album, 'Mutations' (1998). This song is very, well, I think the title says it all. I really love this song, and I didn't really have a full appreciation for it until I saw it live, then I fell in love with it all over again. Plus this song was the only real single released off of the album, but there is another song that deserves to be on here too *see below*
* 10.) Nobody's Fault But My Own
- Oh god this song makes me cry every time I hear it, it is so beautiful. I'll leave it at that. NOTE: this single was only released in Japan because of Beck's April Japan Mutations tour.
* 11.) Sexx Laws
- The first single off of the insanely good party-type album 'Midnite Vultures'. I LOVED this song when it came out (1999) and I still love it. The lyrics are uh, interesting and I love the banjos at the end. I also remember seeing the video to this song all of the time... I love it.
* 12) Mixed Bizness
- Second single released off of 'Midnite Vultures'. Anytime I need to cheer myself up, or just want to listen to something fun, I listen to the song...it's catchy but not too catchy and very dance worthy, its great.
* 13.) Nicotine & Gravy
- 3rd single off of 'Midnite Vultures'. This is one of my favorite songs off of the album and one of my favorites to sing along with as well.
* 14.) Beautiful Way
- This song was NOT a single but I would throw it in there for good measure. Some people may even know it because it came with one of the versions of Windows (cannot remember which one though) but even though it has its cheesy moments, it has some really good lyrics in there. Its good, its good.
* 15.) The Golden Age
- Off of Beck's latest album, Sea Change. Wasn't a single but it does have a video (not commercially released, it is on the Beck DVD though). This song is one of my favorite Beck songs EVER. Every part about it is beautiful.
* 16.) Lost Cause
- This wasn't released as a single either BUT the video was released and used to be played all of the time on MTV2 (trust me, I used to see it on there everyday) and even though it states 'Baby you're a lost cause...' it still has this comforting feel to it. Great song.
Even though there are many good worthy songs I didn't put on there, I think that about covers it. |

| With a library of songs THIS big, it's gonna be hard to narrow it down to her best 12 Shania Twain - Toe-Tappin' Classics
1. Man! I Feel Like A Woman [Come On Over] Always gotta start with a fun, energetic song. It sets the mood of the CD
2. Any Man Of Mine [The Woman In Me] It's the song that sparked her to the household name she now is. Can't deny it. Can't ignore it.
3. What A Way To Wanna Be [Up!] So energetic and fun, always a good combo. A good message in the song, semi-hypocritical, but that has nothing to do with it being a great song.
4. What Made You Say That? [Shania Twain] The old forgotten one. It was her first song, and it's still better than some of her more recent work.
5. You Win My Love [The Woman In Me] An uptempo song about a woman comparing herself to a car. How can you go wrong?
6. From This Moment On (Featuring Backstreet Boys) [Come On Over] Originally performed on stage in Miami, the song has now been recorded for the Greatest Hits CD. It was the best version of the song, in my opinion.
7. No One Needs To Know [The Woman In Me] Probably one of my favourite Shania songs ever, taken from one of my favourite movies of all time. Plus, I loved the video.
8. Honey, I'm Home [Come On Over] A song that just makes me tap my foot everytime I hear it. Love it!
9. Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? [The Woman In Me] Its a fan favourite. Classic country music. Original. Great!
10. Home Ain't Where His Heart Is Anymore [The Woman In Me] In my opinion, this is Shania's BEST ballad.
11. Nah! [Up!] How can you NOT want to sing along to this song? Wave your hands in the air, sing along, tap your foot. It's just GREAT!
12. (If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here [The Woman In Me] As if you've never wanted to have atter with a drum kit after hearing this song. So full of energy, every time she performs it.
(Can you guess which is my favourite Shania Album?)

| Faith Hill Greatest Hits:
1)The Way You Love Me
I think it's a cute song to sing and dance to.
2)Take Me As I Am
3)Wild One
4)Piece Of My Heart
These were the singles that broke her into the music industry, I believe.
5)When The Lights Go Down
6)Beautiful
7)This Is Me
These three are from her most recent release. I love the messages these songs portray. When I first heard 'When the lights go down' it almost made me cry. I love Mel C's vocals in Beautiful.
8)There You'll Be
This is the song for the movie Pearl harbor and I think her voice is great.
9) But I Will
Empowering song.
10)Breathe
Very pretty song, and I loved the video.
bah I can only think of ten. |

| Here's my Shakira's Greatest Hits:
1. Un Poco De Amor (Tour Of The Mongoose Version)
I love how they transformed the original version into a more reggae version.
2. Knock On My Door
Eventhough it was used as a Pepsi song, I really like the lyrics from this song and its rithym.
3. Tu (MTV Unplugged)
This version is just amazing, you could feel the emotions Shakira is feeling, quite amazing version.
4. Pies Descalzos
A classic, one of the songs in which Shakira started, great vocals and rithym.
5. Ojos Asi (Eyes Like That)
I really love the spanish version better,but i love this song cause it has that middle eastern vibe in it, and everytime i listen to this song, it takes me back to the Latin Grammys when Shakira gave that awesome performance.
6. Fool
Still wondering why they didn't release this song as a single, this is my favorite song from Laundry Service, once again the lyrics are just wonderful.
7. Underneath Your Clothes (Tour Of The Mongoose Version)
I really love how Shakira introduces this song to her audience and then she begins singing it, while the audience sings along with her, great song.
8. No Creo (Mtv Unplugged)
Best version I've heard, I love how she starts off singing slowly and then picks up her pace, it's quite wonderful to hear this version
9. Magia
This is from her way earlier works, even though she was very young this song just hits you right in the heart, the lyrics are great and the vocals are just amazing for a girl her age.
10. Ciega Sordomuda
Great Song, love the fast part and lyrics.
11. Te Espero Sentada
Love the guitars in this song, and her vocals.
12. Antologia
great love song, the lyrics are just wonderful!
