Will BRITNEY SPEARS and KEVIN FEDERLINE get back together? Probably. Although Spears has retreated to her mom's place in Kentwood, LA, a source tells me the pop princess is intent on proving everyone wrong. "She's not really talking to anyone about it," my source says. "She doesn't want everyone saying, 'I told you so.'" I'm told Spears has even ended friendships with pals who have badmouthed her hubby. As you may have heard, Spears kicked Federline out of the house last week after he was visited by a couple of friends whom Spears isn't too fond of. "She was angry because Kevin knows how Britney feels about these guys," my source tells me. "But the worst part -- they showed up on a 'Britney and Kevin Day.'" A what? Spears and Federline apparently have set-in-stone days that are just for them and the baby. No one -- not even family or friends -- are allowed to join them. Spears' reps are not commenting.
Speaking of the Federline-Spears, Federline was supposed to be at GQ's Man of the Year party last week at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. I'm told staffers were informed he was in his car and on his way, but he never made it. And get this: Spears was supposed to be joining him as a surprise guest. But that certainly didn't damper the mood at the annual bash. Cover girl JENNIFER ANISTON and fellow cover boy and maybe-boyfriend VINCE VAUGHN showed up --separately, of course. They didn't even sit at the same table during dinner. The closest I saw this undercover couple even interact was a few seconds-long chat at the after-party. Minutes later they both sped away -- separately. Aniston, by the way, looked incredible. If the intense spotlight on her personal life is getting to her at all, you would never know it by looking at her.
