Welcome all to the new BSM.
It's back .. but it's different! This is our brand spanking new version of BSM, where no prisoners will be taken
at all. Simply put, we intend to make sure that the new BSM stays a bitching-free zone - (

At first everyone will be allowed access to the new BSM. However, this time it is a priviledge that will be taken away if the
'Golden Rule' (see below) is broken. From now on we won't be warning you. We won't be suspending you. We won't even be banning you. (
See Note 2) This time you'll lose your rights to post in BSM for good (just BSM, not the whole forum). There will be no second chances given out. Screw up and this section of the board will become inaccessable to you. If you don't want that to happen then please, please just follow the rules. It can't be that hard.

There has been enough bitching round here lately to last for years. We don't expect to hear anymore bitching about how unfair this is that your rights to this section can be taken away just like that. *makes clicking noise with fingers* We could have easily taken away BSM for good. It has been an option considered, but, unlike some people make us out to be; we are nice people who only want you to enjoy this forum and to have a friendly place to discuss Miss Britney Spears. So don't bitch on and on about it, as it's very likely that in doing so you will also be bringing on the removal of your BSM rights for good.
We have come down to the conclusion, after trying many possible appraoches, that this is the best possible course of action now. So, to repeat and make it clear .. if you break the golden rule, you lose your access to BSM for good.
No second chances will be given.
Here is the latest version of BSM Rules:
1) Golden Rule. (Respect/get along with other members)
A fan is a fan, regardless of whether they like Britney a little bit, or wholeheartedly support everything she does. Therefore opinions will differ between these sets of fans. One thing we ask, no .. one thing we
expect of our members is that you all respect the opinions of another type of fan or member. Learn to get along with each other in a civilised - (
See Note 4) - way. We simply don't need any pointless bickering by babies about who is a better fan and so on. We don't want pointless, pathetic fights over trivial things between fans who think another fan is 'bashing' - (
See Note 5) - Britney, when the reality is there is no bashing going on! Anyone who fails to abide by this golden rule will be excluded from BSM with
NO second chance. Therefore if you screw up, that's it.
2) Britney Bashing.
Bashing Miss Spears will not be tolerated. ANY fan can criticise her actions and disagree with what she says, we expect that, no one is perfect and therefore there will always be things to criticise. Please bear in mind that saying Britney made a mistake, or that she doesn't look good in a dress is NOT in any circumstances bashing. Britney bashing is when someone outright calls her a slut, or talentless whore (for whatever reason). Those kinds of outbursts will result in your BSM access rights being removed permanently as with the first rule. Please note that this forum is not a fan paradise at all. We welcome any opinion that isn't a blatant bash of Britney. If you don't like that - tough. It's a message board for someone you don't even know. Just get over anything you don't like off the board, or rant in
The Sewer as that's what it's there for.
Don't cause trouble in BSM/The Latest.
Also, seeing as new members can't see BSM when they sign up there is no chance of the spamfests of the olden days occuring.
3) Respect to other artists/celebrities
Bashing other artists is not allowed. I'm sure many people here don't want to see Britney getting bashed, so why then bash other artists? It just doesn't make sense. It's not that hard to refrain from making a bashing comment against any artist/celebrity that may be discussed here. (Again, bashing would be as described in the previous rule.)

4) Dipshit Threads/Posts
Dipshit threads simply aren't allowed here. If you create one they'll be deleted, so it's advisable not to make one in the first place.
Dipshit threads are ones whereby no discussion is encouraged, such as a thread that begins with a few words, or one simple sentence. This won't stimulate the thread into becoming a good dicussion topic. If you want to post a new topic there's no harm in including a bit of background information to provide material for a good discussion.
5) The (handy) edit button and thread bumping (not humping)
The
button. One of mans great inventions! It offers a simple means of adding something else to your post, something you may have realised you wanted to add just after pressing the submit button, or something that you feel like adding 5-10 minutes later.
In regards to thread bumping, please only do this after your thread has fallen to the bottom of the last page, or to the second page and beyond. There is no use in bumping a thread after 15 minutes because no one has replied. It achieves nothing and is considered to be spam.
Any really old threads that are bumped will be locked down. If you wish to bring up and old issue, post a new thread on it.
6) Several other things to note
* When posting a picture, please don't turn large picture into images on the board, keep them as links so as to not slow people's computers down.
* Multiple threads on the same topic will be merged into an official one when the need rises (such as a BIG event, eg) the release of a new video or Britney attending an award ceremony). This will only be found in The Latest.
* General forum rules are to be found in
The Entrance Hall. This includes: no rasicm, no spamming/flooding, no inappropriate or offensive images, no advertising of your site, or sites of friends, until you have a total of 500 posts or more.

Notes Note 1 - Bitching-free zone defined as a place where NO ONE bashes another member for having a different opinion on Britney, regardless of how much of a fan they are. Note 2 - Yes, we don't have to warn you anymore and something we damn well won't. If you do something that is totally out of line, you're gone. However, we are nice people and on a lot of occassions will give you warnings before hand. It is in your best interests to read carefully every post a mod or admin makes in BSM/The Latest, especially in threads where trouble is taking place. Note 3 - Is it really that hard to read an important thread? Is it really that hard to read the rules? Is it really too much to ask that you take 5 minutes of your life - your entire 70/80 year long life - to read a few simple rules!? No. Didn't think it was. Note 4 - Civilised - acting nicely towards each other without pointless bickering. Not too hard. Note 5 - Bashing of Britney is defined in our rules as when a member senselessly bashes her. Calling her a slut or whore would be bashing. Saying she's a talentless loser would be a bash. Saying "I don't like this song because her vocals aren't that great" is NOT a bash. As is saying you don't like something else she does, with a valid non-bashing reason.
