Default Britney To Play "Switch" On Next Week's FL 100 Chart

Last week, Pop lolita Britney Spears capped the Florida Top 100 chart, taking both the #1 and #2 positions with her latest single "Toxic," and the tide-over thriller "(I Got That) Boom Boom." The songs gave Britney a record in the Florida Mainstream radio industry making her the first artist ever to fill the top two slots of the chart simultaneously.

Next week, however, mid-week charts indicate she'll play "switcheroo" with the two songs, as "Boom Boom" becomes the Number One most requested song in the state, and while her latest single "Toxic" dominates nationwide airwaves, it will take a backseat to "Boom Boom," falling one position to #2. Also a notable mention, her second-single sweep "Outrageous" is set to raise into the mid-50's from it's current spot at #60, as In The Zone's first single with Pop Icon Madonna, "Me Against The Music," skyrockets from #184 into the mid-70's, most likely settling in around #73.

She better freakin' be. She's played nearly every 15-30 minutes. It gets old but, hey, supply and demand. We supply what they demand.

^ If all stations would do that too, I think her singles would be more successful in the US.

^^ I doubt that. Britney's just always been popular in Florida for some reason. But I doubt seriously if all stations did that it'd be more successful. Britney has fans, but not like that. She's as successful as she's gonna get.

I'm not saying that a song that is #100 on the charts would become #1 if it was like that, but from what I see, there's always the DJs that wouldn't play it because "it's Britney". And also if the requests would be high, I don't think that RNB stations would play a song of Britney Spears Look at the singles from "Britney"... it can't be they all bombed because of no requesting.. it's because she was blacklisted! So the radio in general doesn't sound ALL so objective and all. But it's cool your station is.

99% of stations can't play a song whenever the hell they want. It's on a set playlist that's marked LIGHT, MEDIUM, and HEAVY rotation. Light rotation usually means every 3-6 hours. So if you request a song and it was already played 3 songs ago, you're waiting quite awhile to hear it. Rotation is based on either listener requests, or nationwide airplay. DJ's may not LIKE Britney, but they have no choice but to play her when Nationally she's in-demand and Top 40.

Well of course her singles would be more successful is every radio station played her 15-20 minutes. That's why Beyonce's singles always do good.
