I'm surprised no one has brought this up. Well...of course I would because I'm lyke so against Britney!!1111

Anyway, all that girl ever did was talk about how she's wanted a baby for THE LONGEST TIME. Now that she has a baby, where the hell is he? I've seen pics of Britney out and about on several occasions (Pottery Barn, with Kevin shopping, getting her nails done and clubbing) but without Sean Preston. I mean, where is he? You'd think that she'd be with him ALL the time being as how he's only a little over 2 months old. It's just...really alarming. The only way I know how to sum it up is by taking a quote said by someone about this situation over at a livejournal community:

I don't give a shit what defense she can conjure up. There are an alarming amount of "Britney Spears entertaining herself in public sans child" since the birth. Knowing how much time it takes to raise children, especially NEWBORNS, that really gets on my nerves. Seeing her 'clubbing' and 'shopping' so often when her child isn't even a month old only tells me two things; she wasn't ready to have kids, motherhood isn't making her as happy as she thought it would. Yeah stating the obvious but still...it's too late to get a refund now, fucking get involved.

So...what do you guys think? Is there really any legitimate excuse for what seems like Britney is ignoring her child?

I agree with you and that quote 110%. She GUSHED about having kids and now she has one and I'm like, "Where the freak is he?!" And before people jump down my throat and say, "well lyke, duhhhhh, she doesn't have to spend EVERY minute with him!!!!" Yeah, I know that...but look at her compared to other mothers in Hollywood who take their kids with them every damn place they do and are ALWAYS with their kids. I'm not out to say she's a bad mother because quite frankly, I don't know and none of us know for sure. But not seeing her with the kid at all is a bit fishy if you ask me. And that makes me really sad for Sean. Ever since this whole "Britney and Kevin" thing started and then she talked about having kids I kept saying to myself, "She just thinks this will fill the voids in her life." and I still firmly think that that might have been the case. She talked before about how depressed she had gotten and how she just wasn't herself, she needed something more...and then her song "Someday" is basically like, "a baby will make my life complete" (at least to me) and I think that's BS...a bably can make your life complete if you're READY for one. A baby can't fill voids unless you are willing to work on yourself as well.

And blah...okay, end of rant.

I don't think that she is trying to ignore her son, I think that it is more of a safety issue you have to think her bringing her two month old son out would cause a lot of mayhem the paparazzi would be hounding to get a picture. since the leak of the baby photos nobody has seen Sean and they still want pictures of him and would do anything to get them.

I dont think she is a bad mother just because she does things for her own, like shopping and going to a club. You have to imagen that Britney does NOT live the life of any other girl her age. Britney lives her life followed by millions of people who wanna know everything about her. She choose for it, the baby didnt. I think all she does is protect him. There is a risk she takes when she takes Sean out in the public. There are people wanting his picture (as there are no pictures released...well the illegal ones, but magazines arent allowed to publish em), there is a risk of kidnapping (britney has money!) and I could go on. Why would you, as a mother of the baby, want to take any risk that will happen? Well I think no mother would want to take that risk.
Also, every mother takes time for herself. Having a baby is a life changing moment and although she chose for this herself, it still is something you cant prepare for untill you are in that situation. You have to handle it and then its nice to know your child is in good hands, and you can have some time for yourself. Every mom has to take those moments, and so does Britney.

I was just saying that it seems as though a new mother shouldn't be out clubbing and partying when she's just had a child. It kinda makes her look bad.

Oh and for the record, I never said she was a bad mom. I was just wondering why she's never with her baby. It's...a little fishy.

Seeing as I live with her and know how she deals with Sean 24/7 I will agree that she's a horrible mother who hardly spends time with him, where's the bonding Brit!? I also see that while she goes out to shop and get pampered her bunch of nannies are stuck taking care of HER son. Wth?

Not to mention she's quite selfish to not bring him outside so us, the people of the world could see him, I mean we're not even sure what he looks like? It's awful that's she's not sharing him with everybody else.

Poor kid.

edit: I don't think she's been partying, she went to see a broadway show called sweet something and it's rumoured that she'll join the cast or something like that.. That's why she's in NY.

Britney isn't the only celeb to have a baby...and she's not the ONLY one the paparazzi would try to take pictures of. Courtney Cox, Gweneth Paltrow (she was a HUGE one), Kate Hudson...when they had their kids the paparazzi were NUTS over them and nothing happened to their kids. I understand it's still a risk taking Sean out but it's not like it hasn't been done before and not like it couldn't be done.

And like Ashleigh said, she wasn't trying to say Britney was a bad mom and I know I sure wasn't. But asking "Where is the kid?!" really isn't that outlandish of a question. I mean, she whored her pregnancy out so much being on the cover of all the mags, talking about how thrilled she was and then she has the kid and it's like, over. It just seems weird is all.

You live with her now?!? How was the move? I hope everything went over smoothly. I'm glad you're able to ask her those questions about bonding and then log on to let us know the answers. So you've seen the nannies? How many are there? Do you have to sometimes break your plans to watch Sean? If so, Britney needs to be more hospitable to her guests. Shame on her.

What are you whining about? You live with her! You get to see the baby ALLLLLL the time. You're so lucky.

Yes, that poor, incredibly lucky and rich kid. Now tell me, do you benefit from Britney's millions like her husband does? Or is that just something she does for her man? I want the scoop, darnit!!! GIVE ME THE SCOOOOOOOOP!

Take her out back and stone her. She went shopping 4 times in the 2 months since her son was born and SHOCK!HORROR! She even went to a club once! Seriously. Someone should alert Children's Aid, because that child should be taken away.

Anyway, I gotta kind of agree with you Ashleigh and Allie and what not, we've seen her out and about like what 4 times? Who's to say she hasn't been out more but just kept it low key?

If I just had a kid I wouldn't be able to leave him/her alone for a long time, regardless of who you have to take care of him.

Whatever, I don't know britney like some people "obviously" do.
