Yo,

My friend hates Britney Spears. I don't care about if he hates her or not, but what really pisses me off was because one of his reasons was that britney was copying janet on the stronger video. Is this true?

PS: I'm not asking you to diss my friend, just asking if she actually did copy Janet's moves for Stronger's chair dancer.

I don't think she tries to imitate anybody. Britney is Britney.

Britney's not imitating no one - she just does her own things, and others imitate her..
BUT!!!
to the Janet thing - yes, as far as i recall, Jenat does have a video where she's dancing with a chair.... but i think it was with her dancers. i'll try to get vidcap or find more details..

I wouldn't say imitate, I mean Britney Spears is INSPIRED by Janet Jackson she has said so many times. She has of all the performers used Janet's style the most. Do you remember the YDMC tour when during the dance break during "Crazy" Britney stop and say "Is that the end?". That was from a Janet Jackson video where she did the exact same thing. "Stronger" is more reminiscent to me of "Pleasure Principle" because of Britney dancing by herself and alone like Janet is PP. But like I said I wouldn't say imitate. Like Usher is inspired by Michael Jackson, I wouldn't say imitate.

well Janet is Britney's role model and i think everyone that comes out in music today has things that are original and some things that have been done. I don't think Janet Jackson is 100% original either. Every person grows up on an inspiration and they use that when they are famous. It doesn't mean she is saying "well i think i'll imitate Janet today because im not feeling like me" she probably just took the idea of something she loved and ran with it. I think your friend is just looking for an excuse because he/she has no better reason to hate Britney

Well, she has said she really likes Janet, so maybe she's just taking her example.
