Always followed Britney | | Britney Spears has emerged from her postrehab seclusion.
The pop star, who checked out of the Promises facility in Malibu last Tuesday, spent her first weekend out of treatment engaging in familiar pastimes—hitting the salon, shopping, dining with friends and taking hip-hop dance classes, according to various reports.
But it wasn't all fun and games for Spears, who also took time out to attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and made an emergency trip to the dentist after breaking a molar.
Her manager, Larry Rudolph, was quick to clarify that the visit to Century City Medical Plaza on Sunday was nothing serious.
"She just went to the dentist," Rudolph told Hollywood.com's That Other Blog. "She had a toothache. I have no more details."
A building employee at the medical plaza told Us Weekly that Spears obligingly smiled for the waiting cameras, but "the moment she got into the elevators she was complaining to her bodyguards that it was unfair her tooth was broken, but she couldn't take painkillers."
When Spears left the medical plaza after a 45-minute visit, police were called in to manage the media hordes waiting for the singer.
Officers reportedly went so far as to set up roadblocks to prevent more than two dozen paparazzi vehicles from trailing Spears as her bodyguard drove her home. |
