^Not so much, im sure he died right away....his spinal cord was broken. thats just awful, what a horrible way to die ...i knewi hated elevators for a reason..

Actually, when you're decapitated, you are still alive for a few moments after your head is detached. For example, on a Guillotine (sp?) if your head is chopped off, and rolls in the right direction, you can actually look up and see your body laying their head-less for a few moments, while your head is in the basket below. You wont be able to feel anything, because your nervous system is shut down, but you can still see and hear things for a minute or two after you are decapitated.

That almost happened to me, actually!

I was in a church, the crowds were large in front of me and behind, and I couldn't move. I was stuck in the middle of where the elevator doors close. They started to close on me, and, right before they would have crushed me, for some reason, they stopped and froze before touching me. Then they started opening again and I was able to get out.

BTW, all of the people who were currently on the elevator at the time were highly evil delinquents who constantly did things such as spray mace in girls eyes for the hell of it and they hated my guts, so none of them held the door open, I can assure you.

What an interesting way to die, eventhough it is worse then witnessing a gun shot episode. I don't think I would want to witness a decapitation. Nothing bad has happened to me in an elevator and I'm not that much of a bitch to avoid it if i'm that lazy not to use the stairs if there some. Elevators don't bother me at all.

Its a safety feature on elevators. They have sensors on them to tell if they're about to crush anybody. In this particular case, though, the sensors malfunctioned and pinned the guy.

My Papa was a caretaker at a school near here, and the school had rod iron gates in the front. Well one afternoon, he was outside, when school was letting out, and the school bus was going through the gates, taking the kids home. Well one girl, had her head out the window, waving her her friend, the bus driver didnt realize, picked up speed, and she was decapited by the gates. My Papa had to live with that for the rest of his life. He said it was terrible..

I feel absolutly horrible for the woman in the elevator..
