| I went to public school my whole life...it worked out fine for me. I think the main problem is funding..which i think is a EASY problem to correct we have plenty of money tos pend on war but nothing to futher this countries education. I think teachers should get paid more which will be more incentives to get good teachers into the public school system, and also better resources..etc, not everyone can pay 10,000$ to go to a private school. Public school ..even the worst of the worst are better than nothing..and you can do some research into public schools and find a very good one in your city. |

| Ok but if you CAN find a good one that means there are bad ones right ?
OK fine I agree with you if they would spend more money on public schools there. Some people say that more money won't solve anything but hey its not something magical but still its very important how much of it you can get for something like an education system.
And yes you are right... if the salary would be better then you would get better teachers into public schools |

| well of course there are bad public schools, but there are bad private schools also right? Not everything is perfect, but even bad public schools are better than no public school. I think if the united states took away equal free education our economy and the whole life quality would go down significantly. Also, i like i said..nothing is free, anyone who attends public school pays taxes |

| Funding won't solve it. Don't just throw more money at the problem. Reasons for this are explained in some previous post of mine.

| Guns dont kill people! People kill people! And just because you give a gun to someone doesnt make them a murder. If someone wants to murder someone Im sure they could find a way to get a gun and do it some other way. Criminals are going to get guns no matter if it is made legal or not. At least the innocent can now protect themselves. Crime goes down after that bill is passed I am for it. |

| Yes -=( x3m )=- ... keep being in denial.
I mean WTF.. you seriously think that if there would be no guns.. you would have 11.000 deaths from something else ?
I´m not saying you would have no murders or something like that.. but the % of murders would go down. Simple fact. |

| i think japan has more, especially from their organized crime.
anyways, yes we are a very violent country. and many use guns instead of talking. i can definately see a gun if you feel threatened (a scary guy stalking you and threatening you) or for security gaurds of famous people. but as the saying goes "live by the gun die by the gun" so many people in this country are violent and only know and teach violence to "solve " problems. |

| possesion of Guns are part of our 1st amendment rights as americans. If you banned guns, it would lead to a black market, and people would be thrown in jail and it woudl become a case much like the "drug war." Our prisions would be MORE overcrowded and more crime would happen as a result. Just because marijuana is illegal does not mean it reduces the amount of marijuana use in america, it just makes it more expensive, harder to get, and privately used.
