Turkey agrees to total ban on the death penalty - Eternal Allegiance

The Turkish government has agreed to a total ban on the death penalty, in an effort to increase its chances of EU membership.

Its envoy to the Council of Europe signed a European Convention protocol abolishing the death penalty in all circumstances, including during wars. The European Commission says the move is a 'significant step on its way to becoming a fully-fledged democracy'.

I agree .. death penalty is not good i would rather have them in jail

and if they take the wrong guy and kill them thats not good
or wrong girl in that mater

I dont really agree with the dealth penalty but the reason they are doing this is just to get into Europe.
