But If I were to put an animal to sleep, rather than a person, I'd chose the animal. We as humans are on a higher level on life. We are far more complex and see everything in different levels. I understand. You dont want her to live the way she does.. but I dont believe it should be anyone's decision to end anyone's life. Period. No one should be killed. No matter what they are or what problems they have. God knows when to end your pain and suffering. And ultimatley, it should be left to god. Not a judge.

The magical thing about it is that if this was back in the biblical days, she would be dead. She's being kept alive by technology, not God.

Well, the thing is, no human can live without food/water, so why should she be deprived of it? I'm not saying keep her alive, but I'm not saying kill the girl. If she were on some sort of tubes to help her breathe, that would be TOTALLY different than starving her to death. Well, I think it's a tough situation. You don't want to let go of the one you love, but I know if I were ever at that point I'd want my family to let me go. The only thing I don't agree with is starving her to death. That just makes me sick. If she were hooked up to something that helped her breathe, and she was no longer able to do anything, like she is now, I believe it'd be fine to let her go. There's nothing any doctor can do for her anymore. It's sad to say, but it is the truth.

Her parents said they'd take care of her. I wish they would just let them.

Micheal Shiavo wouldn't get paid if he gave control to the parents. If this is what Terri wants (to die) Then why did Micheal start fighting to kill her 7 years ago, when shes been sick for 15? Its obvious he doesn't like her. Everyone who knows Terri, and who have sent their reports to the judges all say that Micheal Shiavo hated her. He didn't like her, and he hated her family. I dont know why some people chose to belive him..

Why oh why does it mean that you "hate" somebody because you want them to pass on? He does not HATE her, he just realizes that after FIFTEEN years, she has no chance of recovering and needs to be let go. She needs to move on to a better place, whatever that may be. Some people are so selfish. (read -> the family members who want to keep her alive.)

Her family is selfish for wanting to take care of her, when Micheal Shiavo hasn't visited her in like 3 or 4 years? Yeah, they must be very selfish for loving her everyday.. maybe they dont want her to be gone.. and maybe the people who want her to die are selfish for not letting her parents take of her (?) Please.. lets not resort to name calling.

I agree George. I hardly see how Her parents not wanting her to die is selfish

They WANT to take care of her, why couldn'ther husband just save all the court drama and let her parents take care of her. I dont understand why he wants to see her die so bad, What could he possibly get out of it ?

This poor woman is going on 8 days or so without any water or food. How Barbaric to starve someone to death. Ugh it makes me so sick!
