The thing I read and the thing that was posted in this thread read along the lines of "Tell the people you want to live". That sounds like a command to me, or a suggestion, an order for someone to follow.

And Oooohhh...he wants her cremated, what a sick bastard! *rolls eyes* A lot of people are cremated...I want to be cremated. If Terry had no Will written out with her wishes in it, she and Michael were still legally married, weren't they? He has the say.

So the parents don't get to decide what happens to their child? Sad.

Well usually once you marry, your parents sort of "give up" their rights to oversee you and that "right" gets placed on the spouse.

Why is cremation so bad? My religion fully believes in cremating. It's kinda like freeing the soul. Or do you mean u find it sad that Terry didnt specify how she wanted to die?

I think people are might be looking at the cremation thing as Michael wanting to further "destroy" her or something like that? I don't see it but...just a thought there.

How in anyway is cremating a form of destroying? i think people who think the concept is destroying dont understand what cremation is about.

Theres nothing wrong with it, but it seems as though Micheal Shiavo waited to see what his parent's say, so he can do the exact opposite. This is a classic case of Bad Blood. Its like a Lifetime Movie.. im serious.. It pisses me off that our country and the state of Florida, has made this idiotic decision. What a pure shame.

The government shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place...that in itself was a mistake.

I just watched an episode of South Park which amde a valid point. They were spoofing the case. The people fighting for her to live are right for the wrong reasons. And the people who want the fedding tube to stay out are wrong for the right reasons. Does that make sense?
