maybe, but thats because some people who lead a goverment only see dollarsigns in their eyes when seeing an animal, and dont see the animal itself.

Dont act like Iceland is the one to blame, maybe in this thread and the wales, but like I said, the whole world is being mean to animals.. Just because they cant talk doenst mean they dont have a heart and soul.

THE WHALES ARE EATING THE FISH... they are getting more and more and are not even close to becomming extinct... and they eat ALOT of our fish that is 70% OF OUR ECONOMY!

Look there are many diffirent type of whales all over the world.. just because some are becomming extinct.. lets say around america... Doesn't mean ALL kind of whales are becomming extinct in world!!!

1st of all..

theres alot of fish.. fish comes and goes all the time..

fish will be there always..

u see the animals have somthing strange so they know when there's not alot of those things left than they go for other things so they dont take it all..

and fish isnt every thing you can eat other things..

2nd.U shod open ur eyes did i say its more important to save sheep nooo i said its important to save them all . and u aint becoming a poor nation because u cant kill whales..

and whales are almost extinct.. u may thing ur presious icland doesnt kill to many well they do and ur not the only one..
and usa gets other to kill the whale.. like icland and other.

and you say people will die if you dont kill wales. Like wales are the only thing on this planet who can save iceland from going under. Go open some new schools and teach people other then killing wales for the economy. And why are you so fucked up about people dying? there are 6 billion people in this world and thats alot more then wales.

And if you think there will always be enough fish then you don't know anything about it. Yes the whales won't make the fish extinctþþ but the lower the number of fish we have in the oceon ALOT and it damages our economy.

Its not the food... most people here don't even eat whale meat.

Its about MONEY... our ECONOMY... Its the 2nd best place to live in the world after Norway and we are not gonna sacrifice it for some whales that people only wanna save because they are cuter than other animals!

You should seriously think about watching something else than Free Willy!

Well if it absolutely had to be done, as long as the whales were either used for food or for something else and not simply discarded, at least they would have some use. I believe waste is one of the worst things you can do, so using a whale for food wouldn't waste it and would still take care of the problem.

However, I do believe your country should only start doing that if there are NO OTHER (good) solutions! If that is the case, go for it, but at least don't waste, please.

I actually like whales, but extreme circumstances do call for extreme measures. I am assuming you are not exaggerating the situation as well.
