They can't even spare one penny for relief fund. I had this lady give a smart remark that they should donate to her. Well I almost told her to just go outside on the sidewalk and hold a damn can. I bet that if she got rejected money, she would be pissed. Just think how these people feel after their lives got destroyed. That bitch is lucky to have what she's got. I'm a lucky person too, but I never forget about other people.

I'm form Louisiana. I'm one of the lucky ones. We really dodged a bullet here. I'm only about 70 miles or so away from New Orleans. It truly is awful. New Orleans will never be the same.
I'm doing ok though. In fact the worst part of this for me is not being about to get back to work. My store has been without power all week and I don't know if it's coming back anytime soon. Could be a lot worse though. I'm just so happy the people I love are ok. | |

People should not be forced to donate and if they don't, shouldn't be called names either.

It scares me that Kat hasn't yet responded. I hope she's okay. I most certainly hope she didn't put her life in danger to take pictures like she said she was going to. | |

This is so terrible. People have poured into Houston. All their life under waters. They're now trying to make it either in a bad hotel/motel or in the Astrodome. I heard that for like the next month or so Houston is going to take in students from Lousiana in their own schools for the time being. I'm not sure if my county is doing the same caus we are suburbs but we probably will.
Our school just started a help dirve too. I'll make sure the next time I go to the grocery store to bring in items. | |

Nah, I'm worried to, but the only thing we can do is wait.
In regards to what Amar was saying, our city is looking for people to take in families until they can get back to what they may or may not have. A lot of people have done so already, and its very touching. | |
