| Allie, they do the same when Presidents die. Never got the point.
I do have to be honest, I don't feel any kind of emotion right now. I was never religious, so I don't feel sad or anything. I sympathize with those who did see him as this leader and great being, but I just don't feel that way. I don't want any of my posts to sound disrespectful so I thought I'd make my feelings clear so that people don't think I'm being rude by not commenting on how sad I am and what not. He did do great things for the world, I do acknowledge, but for some reason I don't feel any emotion when major figures die. Like if Bush died, heaven forbid, I wouldn't say I wouldn't care, I just can't force myself to feel sad for someone I don't know, have never met, and never really cared for. But I have gotten some PMs from people, which is why I'm addressing all of this. So, I don't owe anyone my emotions, so please stop PMing me on why I don't comment that I'm just soo sorry he's passed and all that jazz. |

Its not exactly the same with Presidents because they have a casket and an american flag on top of the casket.. you dont see the presidents face.. but the general reason, that I think they do it, is because they want you to pay respects and its sort of like a final good-bye. |

You've said nothing remotley disrespectful. I'm the same way. I have no sadness over anyone I haven't met dying (well except for people who were murdered or babies). I feel bad for those who depended on the Pope for religious guidance or whatnot, but I myself don't feel depressed or anything. |

| Now that I look at the whole Shiavo case, even though its off topic here, I agree with you Chris. It wasnt important. Her parents played God by inserting the feeding tube.
BLAH
Jess - Dont know why I got PMs...people are dumb. But see I don't feel bad for anyone, and its not like I feel good, I just feel nothing and people are expecting me to be like "Oh Im sorry he died I know he meant a lot..." |

| Allie, okay fair enough, when my Nana died, I went to see her and they had the coffin down and it was my first time but I am glad I saw her, she looked so peaceful. |
