I think you took things WAY out of proportion. SNL makes fun of EVERYONE. They always make fun of the prominent party in the country. ALWAYS. You don't understand Family Guy if you think that all they do is make fun of religion. Comedians make fun of everyone. Don't blame movies. Many good movies often intertwine the real world and the director's views into the story. They have a right to. And we have a right to agree or disagree. And yeah musicians take stabs at Bush in their music. So what??? People who listen to those songs proably agree with teh message to begin with. Those songs DONT persuade people to hate Bush. They are emrely there to state the artists opinions. You may not agree with it, but so what. And obviously there's no Anti-Kerry song because he didn't do anything yet. He wasn't president so he just said stuff. You notice that it is NOT Anti Republican. It's anti Bush Administration. And if people are influenced maybe it's because they happen to agree. Some people disagree. That's the way it is. It sounds about the media bias as just a complaint. I don't get it. Obviosuly most of American voters are not influenced by the "bias". No matter how much you say we voted Bush in again for another reason, I just dont see it true. For EVERY presindent there's walways gonna be people who hate him and they will speak out. It's not your place or anyone's place to say that they shouldn't because they are recruiting more and more people to their beliefs with their statements. It just aint true.

Oh and that Jadakiss song was real dumb anyways. Alot of his questions were bad and he obviously has been misinformed.

What dont I understand about Family Guy? I didn't say they always make fun of Religion, I said they mention Jesus a lot, and its not anything good.

But see, to you, its a reality, but to me, and others like me, its not. Unless its been proven, you cant call it reality. As of now, Bush cheating in Florida is only a theory, not a fact. Im not saying you dont have the right to disagree or agree. Its freedom of speech and impression, do what you want.

You obviously haven't talked to people from my school and schools in our region. Is that why the teens have already made up their minds on who is good and who isn't? 60% of the teens at my school hate Bush, and a majority of them haven't even read a newspaper, and hate talking about politics? Some of them dont even know who the Secretary of State is, and some dont even know the Vice-President.

Was there an Anti-Clinton song? Or how about an Anti-Jimmy Carter song? After all, he was one of the worst presidents of all time. American Idiot is Anti-Republican.. isn't it? Let them say what they want, but what they say inflicts hate into some people, because they get the wrong message of Republicans. Also, people cant form an opinion on something they already agree/disagree with. Dont tell me people didn't make a decision on who is good/bad on Fahrenheigh 911.. becuase I know thats not true. Almost 80% of the teens I know who saw Fahrenheight 911, they based a decision that Bush=Bad, Republicans=Evil. All 80% of those teens dont know what Bush or Republicans stand for. Sure it doesn't influance the current generation, but it will, and already has influanced our Generation, which will be able to vote in 2008. They are going to vote while they are misinformed. This generation is fed by MTV.. nothing positive will come out of that.

Since when do the lyrics of songs mean anything? These are just songs by bands that get points by doing controversial stuff. If the voting would have turned out the other way and there'd be a Kerry in office, you'd have bands with songs supporting right wing stuff.

And seriously, if you think this is bad, then what about those bands that have lyrics which are anti-christian to the bone? These have been around for decades and nobody ever complains. The only difference is that these guys know that you can't put that on public TV, which they don't want to do anyways.

I don't agree with public bashing of any party, but to tell you the truth, Bush and Kerry did it themselves. They started this whole mess, and the public is just following their footsteps. I personally think that the campaining they did was total bullshit. You don't go bash eachother's party, or family, or try to make eachother look stupid. That's morally inappropriate. Yet they both did it.

I mean what's this candidate vs candidate crap they pulled? "Political debate" on TV? They did that crap on a wrestling show for crying out loud. That's where shit like that belongs. On entertainment TV.

That's what I think anyways. Apparently they didn't think so, and the stuff you see happening now George, are the consequences of that decision.

Stinger, the debates have been around for years. That's just basically to show America where the candidates are standing on different issues. I think it's a good thing, although you get a lot of skirt dancing and avoiding the question on them.

George-SNL makes fun of EVERYBODY. They made fun of Clinton 24/7. I gurantee that if Kerry had got elected you'd have millions of skits dedicated just to him. SNL makes fun of EVERY president, that's just the way it is. If you want to be so arrogant as to believe that it's only republicans getting made fun of....well never mind then.

Green Day's 'Minority' was not written about Bush BTW. That cd was released before he was even in office if I remember correctly.

American Idiot was written about Bush. SO what? Musicians write about things that affect them. Seeing your friends and relatives shipped off to a war that was started over lies and money....that is going to affect someone enough to where they will want to write songs about it. Freedom of Speech mah dear, and noone is forcing you to buy the cd.If you don't like it, change the channel. It's that simple.

Clinton has had songs written about him. I know for sure the line in "My name is...." by Eminem. I can't remember exactly what was said, but it was something about him getting his dick sucked. The fact of the matter was that Clinton didn't start a huge fiasco like Iraq while he was in office, so he's not going to have hate songs written about him. He didn't do anything that drained the economy like it's being drained now. Thousands of people weren't killed while he was in office. (And don't even bring up bosnia, because there weren't no thousands of people killed in that).

Instead of sitting there complaining about this and that, why not do something proactive if you want things to change? Start your own newspaper based on Fox "news" version of the truth if you want. write your own 'anti-liberal' song. If you think things are so unfair then change them. Sitting around complaining about this and that will never change anything.

Seemed more like a standoff to me. Downing the opposite party instead of promoting your own seems pretty backwards. Battle of the politicians! Be sure to tune in! It all just seems so overdone to me. But I do realize that's part of the culture there.

I don't care either way though, but if presidential candidates promote that kind of behaviour themselves already, then the people won't be far behind.
