My point exactly. However Jackson's mentality over the years has always been like this, inflicted on him by his childhood. He's naive, no doubt, but not a child molester.

Maybe we can owe that to the fact that when I think of Michael Jackson, I simply think of the genius that crafted the "Bad" and "Thriller" albums. For me, Michael Jackson is forever stuck in the 1980s. Maybe I just choose not to pay attention to the whole trial thing. I'm a fan of Michael for his music and his incredible ability to entertain. I'm not a fan of him for how he lives his life.

I wish everything comes out ok, and that the people that want him to mess up his life will pay for all the damage and trauma.

Just because a man is a creative genius doesn't mean hes not capable of what hes being accused of. In fact, it's usually the creative genius' who are a little wacky, if you know what I mean. Anyways...yeah, just because this is Michael Jackson we're talking about doesn't mean he's any LESS likely to do this than your average Joe.

His love/affinity for children, while it is endearing in a way, can also be interpreted as creepy and the like. I mean, imagine Average Joe from Averagetown, State...if he was as into helping out children and being around children as Michael is, he would DEFINITELY be labled as a "creepy" ,"chester the molester" type of guy.

I didn't say it was impossible that he did that. I just don't care to think about that. All Michael Jackson is to me is five great CD's in my CD wallet. Forgive me for not wanting to acknowledge anything else, but for me, it's irrellevant.

Just because he may have molested some kids, doesn't make his music any less enjoyable to me. And I try to look at every artist the same way. I look at them as two people. 1) The artist/entertainer in the public eye. 2) The human being with a private life. I concentrate on the public part, because I believe that's the only part I have the right to be a part of.

But it really is a shame that so many people have this tunnel vision and instinctively believe the accusations. It seems people just crave gossip above all else.

First off, no one here is debating his musical creations here. No one was saying that what he may have done would in any way make him less of an artist.

I'm not totally believing the accusations against him and I don't have "tunnel vision" regarding this. I would like to believe that he didn't do it given who he is and everything he's created/accomplished, but I think there's a very good possibility that he did...and I'm not letting the fact that he's one of the best artists EVER make that decision for me. Yes, he's an amazing artist, but that doesn't mean I'm going to totally disregard the accusations and not pay attention to them and write them off. These are serious accusations and should be taken seriously. He is innocent until proven guilty, but my gut instinct tells me that he's quilty of something.

So I have a question: You said you focus on the public aspect of his life because that's the only part you have the right to be a part of. Which is a very good point when it comes to anyone...not just celebs. What you do in your time is your business. However, in Michaels case what he is accused of doing in his free time hurt many CHILDREN and violated them in ways that is just undeniably wrong. Your private life is your private life...until you do something that's against the law and something that hurts others, then those in power have to step in and do something about it. To say that you're only concerned about his public life is pretty much saying that you don't care if he molests children. It may not be what you meant to convey, but that's what I took away from the statement.

Allie you said basically everything I wanted to hear.

I can't believe people saying "Oh these people want to hurt him, those bastards." People have such incredible tunnel vision when it comes to him, yes, but its usually his fans who won't believe an ill word against him. Hes a creative genuis, yay. It doesn't mean he can go around sleeping with kids and it should be ignored or silenced.

Noone in this thread has said "Michael is guilty let him fry!" Everyone has come in saying either a)they hope he isn't guilty or b) he isn't guilty.

People can ignore his private life all he wants but when serious allegations are made against a person it is the public's right to know ESPECIALLY when it concerns children.

Now let me ask you this people who think he isn't guilty and don't care if he is. Would you let YOUR kids spend the night with him unsupervised?

No.

But more because of what people would say about me, rather than the likelyhood of Jackson doing anything.
