| And yet my rolling of the eyes was accompanied as an understanding of the tone of the WORDS that I typed. Yours, just a face, meant nothing. At least mine was included amongst text. So yes, mine was more mature than yours, because at least I had text to back up the expression, whereas you sir, did not. Good job on comparing Madonna to Steven Tyler. |

Is that way The Gay Parade in San Fransisco had atleast thousands of men walking around naked on the streets? Is that why some people on the float were harassing people who dared to speak up against them?
Is that why the Gays come into the Conservative and Religious message boards on myspace, and cuss at us every 2 days? Get real about this. Your side is just as guilty of intollerance as mine is. Your side isn't an innocent child. You can be just as rude as we can, sometimes even ruder.
I've talked to a lot of people from the GSA, who generally preach "Tollerance" and 90% of the time, the response is "Kiss my ass". "I hate all of those annoying Jesus Freaks".. wow.. your side is really being attacked! Dont preach tollerance, if intollerance spews from your side. You couldn't even tollerate an opinion that I had and made such a huge deal out of it, even wished me bad luck. In my opinion, "Tollerance Preachers" such as yourself and others are very hypocrytical.

| There are a few like that. You know why people have to stand up? Because they're being stoned, beaten, killed, harrassed... all simply because they like the same sex. Should I go up to you and get all mad at every straight right wing person because a few of them choose to kill and emotionally hurt homosexuals? But, George, you can still marry and love whomever you would like so of course you're not going to get it.
Both sides do stuff back to each other. That is simply not the majority though. ON BOTH SIDES it is NOT the majority of the people. It is those few who speak louder and make both groups look bad.

Not every word is to be taken seriously with them.
Second, Show me one person, who got beaten, stoned, and or even killed at our school. one person. Being Homosexual has even gone so far as to become a trend, so dont say people are being beaten for it, because they're not. Yes, people have been beaten for it, and I dont justify any violence towards Minorities, including gays. I have no hatred for anyone who is gay, and a lot of the liberals automatically say
"if you're against gay marrige, you hate gays". Which is 100% false. Sure people disagree with it because of hatred, but most of the people against do it for other reasons, but Im not saying hate isn't apart of it. Its just not a big part of it.
And to say "I wouldn't get it" can be used In my situation too. I dont think you would ever understand why Im against it, nor Do I think you want to understand why Im against it.
Bottom line, Practice what you preach. |

Nothing about humans is 100% nature nor 100% nurture. You can't say someone is the way they are strictly because of their genes and you can't say someone is the way they are strickly because of the environment in which they grew up in. It's all interconnected. As of right now, no, we don't know if there is a gene which makes an individual pre-disposed to homosexuality, but there almost has to be. There seems to be a genetic pre-disposition for nearly everything else in this world, why is homosexuality different? Did you know that with rat pups...if a female pup develops between 2 males pups, she will be more masculine and exhibit more masculine attitudes and so, the mother rat will treat her more like a male than a female. Right there that shows interaction between nature and nurter. The hormones she was exposed to before birth altered her in some way and then because of that, the mother treated her differently and she acted differently because of that combination. Also...when SHE has rat pups of her own, even if there is a daughter pup with another female on each side of her, she will still exhibit more male characteristics.
As for personal choice...why would so many people chose to be something that seems to be so hated in this world? Why would someone want to subject themselves to a life like that? The idea that homosexuality is a choice seems completely crazy to me. Sure, okay...SOME people do choose to engage in relationships with the same sex for one reason or another but honestly, you can't help who you're attracted to. One of my best friends came out to me last year. He came out to another friend of mine a year before that - and when he told her, he cried on the phone with her for 2 hours about how he wished he wasn't the way he was. That broke my heart. At the time he saw it as something that people would just dislike him for and look down on him for...he hated it, he wanted to be "normal" he said. And he did try dating a girl, but he wasn't into her, he didn't feel the way about her that he felt about other guys. He spent 19 years of his life afraid of who he was because of people who think they're somehow better than he is. Thats no way for someone to live.
Even if people don't agree with homosexual marraige, what's so wrong with allowing it? Im against abortion and I don't think it should be practiced...but I realize not everyone thinks that way and I also realize that I shouldn't force my beliefs onto someone else. And of course the other side to that argument is "well your beliefs on homosexual marraige being okay shouldn't be forced on ME!" But what it really comes down to is human rights and freedom. The United States is supposed to be the "land of the free" not the "land of the free...but only those who we see fit to be free and live how they want to live". |

| I had typed up a pretty large post, and then my browser crashed when I hit Submit Reply. I had even copied the text to clipboard, because I always do that, but it appears that because my browser took up 99% of my memory while attempting to crash, when I tried to copy my text into notepad, there was nothing saved. So I just spent about 30 minutes typing up a post for nothing. *beats the crap out of Microsoft*
So I guess I have to leave this with a "nevermind" post, heh. |
