I don't believe Marriage is a part of Freedom. I don't understand how someones choice to get married with is any concern of the law? At least in a country that is supposed to be the matron of the "free world". If marriage is part of Freedom than how can Freedom restrict it? Isn't that kind of hypocritical? Yes I know those sayings of "Freedom is not free." Although I'm not sure what exactly it means. Some say it means that Freedom has a price. While others say Freedom does not mean you are entirely free. I believe the word 'Freedom' has been lost in a web of a million connotations. How can Freedom restrict something that really does not hurt anyone but in fact make people happy?

And what is this about a "side" here? Are the day population some army of infidels that we are fighting against to protect.. what again? Marriage? Does Marriage need to be protected? Are gays getting married going to drive a knife through the already bleeding heart of marriage? If anything needs to be restricted in marriage it is the persecution of people not being able to.

Yes you say Polygamists will want in too. But I think Polygamy should be outlawed because really it's not what marriage really is, in my opinion at least. I know some religions have a different meaning of what marriage is and so forth. But it just doesn't seem right to have as many wives as you want. Is that really love? Love is between one and another making the other feel like one in a million. I don't think Polygamists will start an uproar, and even if they do it's not fair. Gays marrying do abide marriage. I really do not understand what someone marrying another is endangering sanctity. What exactly is sanctity anyways? Keeping something pure and whole? Well restriction of love like this has already desanctitized the very basis of marriage itself.
