| You know what pisses me off the most about this whole thing? It's simply that the people who oppose Gay marriage seem to have this attitude that's like "this is the way it is, tough luck for you" sort of a thing.
And I honestly do not understand the gain that people could possibly have to keep gays from marrying. It's just something that doesn't make sense to me, other than the fact that it seems they just like to watch people suffer for as long as they can possibly allow it to happen.
I mean, I can even see the idea behind slavery and not allowing women and other races to vote, because those COULD have an affect on them. Banning slavery simply just means they have to get off their lazy asses and do their own god damn work. And allowing other groups to vote can affect how their government is run. I'm not saying those reasons are justified, but they tend to have something to lose.
What on earth does anyone who isn't gay have to lose by allowing gays to wed? It's not going to harm you. I can assure you, our mission is not to hurt or harm you in any way. We just want to be happy. So why do you want to keep us from that? Because your beliefs are against it? Well, if that's the case, then what do you have to worry about? Are you afraid that we're gonna get you drunk and take you to Vegas for a wham bam thank you ma'am wedding? Don't flatter yourselves.
Seriously, the only reason I can think of in my head is that you don't want us to be happy. In which case, I say to you, What the fuck kind of a human being are you? |

But if I fall in love with someone who feels marriage is important, then I'm going to opt to marry that person. And it is nice that I have that option if the opportunity arises, and I feel that any person in my position should have that option as well. |

I think religion is something from a few 100 years back, where peope didnt have the possibility to answer questions about life. Now we can (we know A LOT more) , but these people are still stuck in stories from the past and dont wanna let it go. Of course, thats what they deside and thats fine with me, but they should keep it for themselves. Some people did move on and it's unfair to blame them for it. |

| If the MAJORITY said you should jump of the bridge, would you do it?
I mean, just because the majority rules it, doesn't mean its the best thing to do - BUT again, you do have to listen to the majority in some ways . Well, I don't know what to say really .. |

| Basically what it means is, if you're gay and living in the States, you're living in the wrong place. What do you do when the marjority votes against your lifestyle? You leave. It's that simple. The place just isn't open enough for you to be in.
When there's a voting about gay marriage yes/no, all the Christians run to the voting booth to cast their vote. NO NO NO NO etc. And why do they vote No? Because they read this: Leviticus 20:13:
If a man lie with mankind as he lieth with woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
That's like a piece of text straight from the book of Satan. Many people seem to put their brain activity to zero when they read the bible. God isn't alone up there. There are two balances of power in this universe, otherwise it couldn't even exist. Everything in the space time continuum has a positive and a negative in order to be. So we have a God and we have a Devil.
Either of them could put something in the Bible. They both had and have the power to. So when they read the Bible and come across Leviticus 20:13, does the American people not ask themselves questions like since when does OUR God promise death and bloodshed upon a human being? Since when did God get this violent? Since when does God send HARMLESS people to Hell? I believe that's more like the work of that red guy the Bible speaks of. Anybody who read the Bible will know that without the Devil, God would have never taken everything away from poor Job. So do not think the Devil can't do these things, cause he can. It's right there in the Bible.
So to say that it's a good idea to vote against a gay marriage because the Bible says so is just an excuse. Cause anybody in their right minds with a decent amount of knowledge of the Bible knows that God doesn't do shit like that.
The truth is that deep down a large part of the 61% doesn't WANT a gay marriage to take place for personal reasons. Because (and this is not meant to be an insult) the American people have made a name for themselves in being good at wanting to know everything about other people's lives, meddling with them if they get the chance, and trying to rule over them when they're inside. Christians in my country aren't being like that either. It's not the Bible that is to blame, it's the people.
And now, 61% of the American people have to live with the fact that they were pretty much doing the Devil's bidding when they interfered with the lives of a group of harmless people, causing chaos in a country that's supposed to be free of shit like this. They just gave the Devil a homerun, God must be very proud of His team right about now, heh. |
