| Jury debates over Scott Peterson’s fate… | | So the trial for the “husband from hell” is just about over. With the closing arguments complete, now we all have to wait for the jury to deliberate.
How does everyone feel about this case? Do you think he’ll walk or get what he deserves? Also – I’ve been told that the judge is only going to give a 2-hour notice once the jury has reached its verdict. We do have a cable TV in the lounge area here at work, so I’ve been setting it to Court TV to try and keep up-to-date. I even noticed on their website that you can get the verdict sent to your cell phone, which is pretty crazy (though I’m the only one of my friends without one yet!)
Personally, there’s nothing I’d rather see than a death sentence for this disgusting human, though life in prison wouldn’t be a bad 2nd option either.

| More information? For example, who is Scott Peterson? What did he do? Etc...
Also, this should probably be in the worldwide section. |

| Scott Peterson is the man accused of killing his wife and unborn son two years ago. There's a lot of circumstantial evidence (strong evidence) but no proof. Her body washed up on the shores of the place where he said he was fishing when she disappeared.
Unfortunatetly, this poster has presented you with a very strong opinion and no facts. You look at the case and decide for yourself what happened. |

| If hes guilty I hope he gets life with no parole.
Personally I think hes guilty ....there was no way he could have been where he said he was at, and he had a strong motive to kill her.But If OJ can get off so will he, espceailly since it IS all circumstancial.
I just feel so bad for Laci and her unborn child. |

| I think he did it - no questions asked. But I don't think he should get the death penatly as I'm against it. We say killing is bad yet we turn around and kill the killer? No...not cool. Life in prision is more suffering anyway as far as I'm concerned. |

| Ok, he DEFINITELY should NOT get the death penalty, ESP. because we do NOT know for sure whether or not he actually killed his wife. Sure, there's evidence to let us believe he did, but we don't know for sure. Prison for life is just fine, even if he did kill her. Who the hell are we to put some other human being to death. Read Beccaria. I strongly recommend it. |

| Yes I agree with Dids and Allie. I feel human life is sacred , and only God should be allowed to take it. I don't support the death penalty at all. Life in prison is much more suffering IMO. |

Life in prison is much more suffering IMO. | I agree...somewhat. Now, in jails, they get TV, and so many luxeries. BUT, I feel its only God's job to take someones life when the time is ready, and that should NOT be put in the hands of another person.
I believe him to be guilty. |

Kill him if guilty. And I really don't care about all these pro-life campaigners. Put yourself in the victims shoes. |
