| In 1947, the British government agreed to withdraw from their mandate of Palestine. The 1947 UN Partition Plan split the mandate into two states, giving about half the land to each state. Arab authourities rejected the plan.
If only they would have accepted it things would be so much better for them today... I guess thinking "All or nothing" doesn't get you very far. |

| I have to say something. I have nothing against the people who love living in the US. Of course not, I am happy that they are so content living where they are. If only everyone was! That would really rock.
But this is what I have a problem with.
People who think (and I'm not even saying anyone in this thread DOES) that America is the best place to live. No, not even as their personal opinion (because, fine.. think what you want) but FIRMLY believe it as a FACT. Because that's just plain dumb. You can personally love America, but nobody can ever say as a fact that it's the best place to live, the best country the best whatever. Those are ALL opinions.
Just like this article here. It's his opinion. It's what HE's feeling. You can clearly see he'd rather think differently. I mean that shines through. You can't tell him his opinion is WRONG.. you can disagree, but don't call it bull or whatever. He's feeling it. It can't be wrong. |

But no country really is.. I think about the 20 best countries to live in are all about the same in many things.. so.. I guess it just depends what you like and dislike. |

I guess it just depends what you like and dislike. | Even if it was Nr. 1, it's not a FACT. It's never a fact. I mean I've lived there, and I've lived here, and I'm sure they wouldn't rate my country under the top 7. But for ME this place is the best place in the world. I really wouldn't want to move back. Ever. So who's right or wrong? It really is all about what YOU like and don't like. For you it can be the best country in the world, other people wouldn't live there if you paid them. *shrugs* |

| i agree that the Palestiniens are a huge source of the worlds terror, along with saudi arabia.....I think the us is to some point, but maybe more so b/c of how selfish and isolated we are, and ignore or let countries skid by because of what their country has. |
