Well that's because he's trying to use something to doge his fuck-ups that he made on this war and everything. He's trying to dodge everyone questioning his leadership.

I agree with what Geiri said about the church not having to marry but gays being able to be married outside of the church. Gays have commimentmet cerimonies now, but they are not recognized as married couplesand get no tax breaks which I think is unfair. Also, when gay couples have children, if the woman who had the child died the other woman would have no rights to the child because she is not considered a parent. That is not right IMO.
I think bush has every right to his opinion however, and if thats how he feels, oh well. Not alot of older people are as openminded as the youth of today. When we are old enough to be in public office that is when the US will see some changes, just because the youth of today have been raised so much more liberally.

I think gay marriages should be allowed. They are people to and should be allowed to get married just like everyone else. Where I live in Canada gay marriages are allowed so I guess some of them could come here and get married but still...

I agree Geiri you cant just think that we are going to change our religion just so gays can get married in the church there are many other ways to get married elsewhere why must we condone it for you? Our religion goes by what the bible says and no man can change it just because they feel like it.

I doubt if his daughters turned gay tomorrow he would change his mind. He can still love his daughters but it still isnt going to change the church.

The nation was founded on Christianity "One nation under GOD, indivisible with liberty and justice for all." Why do you think we win all of our wars I can assure you it is not only us fighting. And since we have freedom of religion and all these freedoms that our military fought for! People of other beliefs come here and think we should change the whole constitution because of their freedoms. Believe me if they do we are in for a heap of trouble.

Again this nation was founded on Christianity so that would still apply. They have the freedom to do it because everyone is responsible only for themselves, and what they choose to do, but they wont condone it.
