In my opinion the church really should have the right to ban gay people to get married IN CHURCH... but in most countries is more than just a religion thing. Like here gay people can get married.. just not in a church.. so in my opinion that should be enough... because if you force someone to change a religion then its just fake and not real.

In my opinion only real religions don't change when society changes... they stay the same... Its not like god sends down a new message/rules everytime people want something to change.

But anyway marriage is also a legal thing so everybody should have the right to marry the person they love.

I mean I celebreate christmas and maybe someday I would like to marry someone.. still I don't believe in god.... yes it started with religion but that doesn't mean you have to believe... I mean today there are like 2 kinds of christmas... the religion one and the santa claus/commerical/gift/food christmas.

I agree Geiri. I don't expect the churches to change their views. That's not suppoused to happen. I just don't think it all should be illegal.

I don't get that. I mean, is this not a "free" country? Don't gays and Lesbians technically have the same rights? How would same sex marriages affect you. It wouldn't ever hurt you, so whats the big deal? They should be able to be just as happy as the hetrosexual couple.

Just like some people think people should only make their own babies... but that doesn't mean adoption should be ilegal because some people have a diffirent opinion and wouldn't do it.
