Sorry Errick, I had to. | I came in here looking for this. Now it's found, now I can leave.
You know me all too well and you know how I feel about this.
Love is love. Whether it's deceptive or not is the key.
As long as the couples are past infatuation, I'm cool with them joining in union. But then again, it is none of my business (please restate this for me when you reply, thanks - Swany).
But I do have a right to send my kids to a school where they don't have to misunderstand the only way babies can be made. One man, one woman. Getting around THAT will be a struggle. Adoption is awesome, I just think if we play the "kids will know the difference" card, the result will be the opposite. I'm all about making surroundings simpler, but with this - it's more confusing. Kids will question, and think it's okay to be in love with the same sex, because they see both their mommies/daddies doing it, they'll follow in their example. If homosexual men and women could get around that, it'd be awesome. But it still wouldn't be how their Maker had planned it.
In your reply, make sure to state facts about heterosexual marriages and how long they last, how many people get divorced a year. Yeah, what they're doing is wrong, too. I can say that as well. Just like the unions trying to be pulled off today with two men and two women getting married, it is wrong in God's eyes. Not condemnation, the facts.
I could only hope instead of looking to humans, other outlets (for love) all the time, we would focus our need for it (love) to the sky. To our Creator who loved us even before we were born into this world where we can/do screw up our lives (us includes me) daily. He is the only One who can fill the void. The spot that He designed, where only He can fit, and cure, and heal, and love you. I know, I know...enough preaching.
I'm just facilitating. Hope.
(God didn't make you that way...he allowed it to happen, so that you would learn something...whatever it is, you can only find out if you ask Him. )
These are my feelings. I feel like I put pros and cons in here. It's a balanced, not so biased response. If you say I'm closed-minded, it's only because my Savior has asked me to follow Him in that way ("the narrow gate" in Matthew 7:13-14). |

I'm confused by your statement here. Quote: | But I do have a right to send my kids to a school where they don't have to misunderstand the only way babies can be made. One man, one woman. If it was learned, how would you explain a guy "becoming" gay when his entire life, he's not been around gay people and his parents aren't gay? There's obvsiously SOMETHING inborn with it, it's not a disease and it can't be "caught" from other people. A child seeing their moms/dads in a same sex relationship will not cause them to become homosexual themselves, at least not in my beliefs. You talk as though these children living in same-sex families will somehow be corrupt by their parent's relationship. Do you know how many children in heterosexual familes witness much worse? I think that homosexuality is the LAST thing anyone should be worried about when you've got children out there who are being abused, watching one of their parents be abused and so on... I know, I know...enough preaching. | I don't mean to bash your beliefs here so I'm sorry if that's how it's coming off, but this is my main problem with the Christian religion: You're supposed to love one another and all that stuff, right? Then why look down upon people who aren't like you? Why give yourself some higher status because your life went one way and theirs another? That doesn't sound too "Christian" to me. If God made us all then he loves us all. If he gave us free will, he has to also accept the things we choose to do with that free will (although I'm strongly against homosexuality as a choice, I believe 100% that it's inborn), at least that seems logical to me. Why give someone the free will to do what they want and then punish them for what the choose to do with the freedom that you gave them? |

But its man choice to take his life and go the right or wrong direction. God doesn't force his opinions on people, but people force god's opinions on themselves if they want to.
I, also don't see gay marrige ok, but, I dont need to go into detail. |

| So, our school has a new "Gay-Straight Alliance" Club, and I can't believe the things i'm hearing from people. I didn't say a word but the teacher actually had the nerve to say he wouldn't want his kid in any part of that because it could damage them in some way.
I would also like to say this: People judge Gay people, and punish them by not giving them rights(I've gone back and forth between my beliefs on this, but I firmly stand this way right now), but do they not realize no one sin is greater than the other? Being Gay isn't any worse than disobeying your parents, treating your kids poorly, etc. "Who is without sin among you let him cast the first stone"- The Bible |
