This is really a mess

When us so cal people go outside, we can smell the smoke in the air. We cannot even see the blue sky. It feels humid and nasty. I have the fan on me right now, to stay cool.

I'm talking to my friend right now......she had to evacuate her house, and she's at her mom's right now cuz the fires are too close to her home.

I'm worried about her...

She's saying it's really really hot and windy... The whole city of SD is in a state of emergency... She says when she woke up this morning, her house was all lit up red because the fires.

Anyone else who lives in the area, I wish the best for you...

Aww i'm sorry to hear that.

During this summer Canada had alot of fires too.

I think it's funny though that you have a fan on you rite now because when i go outside i put on my winter coat! : o

My parents back home in East San Diego can't breathe outside... the skies are orange... the San Diego fire is 20 miles and closing to my house with Santa Ana (strong dry) winds blowing south (to my house). 100,000 acres, close to 1000 homes, planes crashing because of lack of visibility and closed runways...

All of the public schools and universities in San Diego county are closed, my mom has the day off, the mayor is telling employers to let their employees take the day off which means my dad has the day off. My parents are staying up all night to see if they have to evacuate. My dad has already begun to get ready for that.

My dad told me that it's "like a war is being fought". The fire departments aren't even trying... "outmatched".

The Monday night football game between the Chargers and Dolphins is probably going to be relocated to another city... dammit, our first Monday night game in like 50 years... and Qualcomm Stadium, home of the Chargers and Padres, is filled with homeless people. All but one of the major highways linking north and south San Diego are closed.

Just when I leave home shit starts to happen. I'd just like to have a house to come back to during winter break.

There's other stuff, but blah I've forgotten.

EDIT: San Diego has decreed its population to have only one TV and a light on due to power lines being down. If they evacuate, there's fire on three sides of them, so they'll have to go to the coast in downtown San Diego. Into the fucking ocean.

The new total is 264000 acres, 650 homes and rising. When the fires in Los Angeles started, all of the San Diego firefighting forces went up there to help and when it happened in SD they were fucked.

Now wasn't part of this an act of Arson?? OR terrorism?
