Okay.. Really.. Quite calling people naive.. Who are you to say who is naive and who isn't? You sit here and act like you know it all.. Oh yeah, it's real cool to go start a war for OIL. Kill tons of people for oil.. How would Americans like it if a foreign country came over and started killing us for resources? Would it be different then? To some people of course it would be.. You have no right to judge what I have to say.. BUt you see if someone attacked America it would be a big fuckin deal.. But if we attack other countries oh it's okay.. and you fuckin know it..

How obvious can it get? Did you think war was fought over something OTHER than resources? Please, that is pretty obvious, and if you deny it, then I don't think I overstep my bounds in calling people naive for not knowing that.

Gee, I wonder what "9/11" was about... hmmm, buildings exploding, people dying... that probably has SOMETHING to do with it... and no I didn't/wouldn't like it, but that's how shit goes when you deal with people and the mutual mistrust that is inherent in human relations. al-Qaeda says they "want their holy land back" and "want the US to end support for Israel" etc (honestly, how much oil does Israel give us?). What they really want is to keep on stockpiling oil, a la OPEC, etc.

One big reason why we haven't been attacked that often for resources is because we engage in free trade... this assumes you read my previous post.

I live in the US. To me, if the US is attacked, then it is a big fucking deal because it is my fucking country. I expect it to be like that for people in Mexico; if Mexico is attacked, it is a big deal to them but not to me. Just like if some guy in some other high school gets punched, it isn't a big deal to me, but if someone punches me then it is.

I don't get what the big deal is regarding looking out for yourself and your interests. US foreign policy is selfish. NO SHIT, and I have no problem with it since the entire point of a country coming together is to ensure its own survival. I guess the bleeding hearts just can't get this.

I don't like war, but just because I don't like it and would like to avoid it as much as possible doesn't mean I'm going to shut myself off in a fantasy land and pretend that it isn't needed when all else breaks down.
