| Bush: Saddam not part of Sept. 11 | | WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 — President Bush said Wednesday that there was no evidence that former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was involved in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, disputing an impression that critics say the administration tried to foster to justify the war against Iraq.

"And Tuesday, in an interview on ABC's "Nightline," White House national security adviser Condoleezza Rice said that one of the reasons Bush went to war against Saddam was because he posed a threat in "a region from which the 9-11 threat emerged.""
Bush's cabnet is a freakin MESS, they need to get their lies striaght. |

| To Jess:
" Although that belief came without prompting from Washington, Democrats and some independent experts say Bush exploited the apparent misconception by implying a link between Hussein and the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in the months before the war with Iraq. "The notion was reinforced by these hints, the discussions that they had about possible links with al Qaeda terrorists," said Andrew Kohut, a pollster who leads the nonpartisan Pew Research Center for the People and the Press." |

Bush's cabnet is a freakin MESS, they need to get their lies striaght. | Once again, you're full of it and need to be gagged. By Condoleezza saying that was not saying he was part of it, now was she? No. Plus, he never said Saddam was involved. All he said was that Al Qaeda MAY be somehow connected to the Saddam regime, but he never said Saddam was tied in with 9/11 besides the fact that Saddam supported the attack. The main Iraq war reason has BEEN the Nuclear Weapons contract, and it always has been. And you need to quit drawing everything out of context. Your little conspiracy theory is rathr pitiful. Get over yourself already. |

| ^Trust me, there are many other countries that support al queda and support the 9/11 attacks. Most countries hate americans. I dont take things out of context, i just dont believe every freakin thing the president says. If this war was about the un weapons agreement, then why have we not attacked north korea who we made a agreement with for them not to produce any more weapons if we give them money and aid....AND where are the weapons in iraq?
threat is surely far more likely to be posed by the communist north koreans who have booted out international inspectors and have nuclear weapons, by the nuclear-armed pakistani dictatorship that harbors al queda's remnants and by the us-fortified saud arabia emirate which was the source of the funds and the terrorists of 9/11. Yet the white house chooses to talk with north korea, embrace the pakistanis, and defend the saudis. |

| ^How does that make us any different? we hate saddam, we go in and take over, al queda hates us, they come in and kill our people..b/c they dont have the money or resources to do itwith a military. Alot of countries hate american's, but very little are going to do anything about it. AL queda definatly will and has on many occasions and we should put all our resources into that group instead of spending all our money on the "possibility" that saddam could at some point use his "weapons" against us bc he hates us....but oh wait, he doesnt have any to use. |
