this war was completely justified, saddam hussein has forever been a man of violence, and we act on hard evidence which was initiated by suspicion, and we go in to get rid of a regime that both hinders world realtions but is cruel to it's very citizens. yes, there are some people who believe the war was bad, but those are the iraqi militants who support saddam hussein's every move, did you ever watch the news while it was happening katy, did you see the violence, did you see the casualties, yes it's not fun, but regardless of what you our what anyone else thinks, afew thousand heartbreaks is substantial, but not a crime against humatarian law...did you know that war is a natural (though not traditional natural style) way of controlling population....without the wars, the holocaust, and many other such events, the world would be in much worse shape, for one thing. i'll use the holocaust as my example....okay there were approximatel 13-15 million people killed, think if each woman in that group where to have an average of 4 times half of 15 is 22.5 million children, now imagine the females of that group begin to have an average of 4 children thats 45 million additional people to place and frankly, we haven't got much usable room left in the world.... now there are 6 billion people and not enough space and we're tightly crammed into little condos, and apartment, and duplexes, and such
yes these losses are irreplaceable, and i feel strongly concerned for the surviving families and i'm shocked that it happend but with the other wars included there's probably another oh i'd say 20-40 million deathe to so add that to 45 and the high number is 95 million people...woah, is that alot of people or what?, alot more homes to build, alot more mouth to feed....
so i don't agree with war, and i don't hafta either, i just think that god puts us all into turmiol so he can control the populaton as best he can....and yes, it's sad that we can't all get along, but nothing is that easy anymore.....
saddam is an evil man with a notorious background, and what makes you think this war was falsly justified, there was no falseness about it, we had strong leads, that he had nukes, or bio weapons, and he's would be one of the few to actually use them..........................
whereas unlike the u.s...we honestly use them as a threat, we'd never actually use or nukes or our bio weapons, but saddam has, and what would make anyone believe that he wouldn't again.
i take weird sides to things, i agree with war, but not really like it, i support george w. bush, but i don't really like him,
"you give a little, you take a little", that's how the world runs, and you just have to follow it's current, because if you don't it'll suck you down the grand old exit, and never let you return....
while we're on the subject...you are very naive, but you bring up a substantial point, he lie to the world and he's going to pay for it, but in subtle ways, like falling out of his campaign sponsors, and whatnot...no one should ever lie, but it's nature
and the only deaths the americans are ever concerned about is ur own when the british people and german people cared so much when our men died, but we just said...blah...when one of theirs was laid to rest...and omigod we've lost 212 people or something like that....ouch that's not good, well at least we're not irap where they've lost over 3,600...we give them no credit, no closure, because they're on the other side....sheesh....

as a nation we need to take a real good look in the mirror, yes i don't like or agree with many things about this nation, but as a citizen it is my (and it sure as heck is yours) obligation to follow these codes, and repect them for what they are, and alos respect need to be shown to those who make those very decidions....

well i hope my insight is helpful, and read up the topics before you post your opinions, it always helps to know the actual events that started the war.

I cant believe people are basically supporting Saddam that asshole needed to be taken out for years now and Im glad a president with balls actually got elected that was willing to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I voted for him YAY ME!!!

Maby if the wusses of Society wouldnt have put up such a big stink before the war Bush would have found by now the evidence that they gave saddam over a year to hide!! And it was already proven when he fired his first Scud missle at us which he said he didnt have!!!!!!!

Sorry Lea I didnt mean it like that really I just dont know why people are so mad that we went to war against him I think it was more than justified. And the people in Iraq most of them are happy about it too. Even more countries are reaching out for help to us now I think it is doing way more good than bad! That is my opinion.

I don't think the UK should have got involved to be honest. What bothered me about the war the most was they never seemed to have a reason for it

At first the war was "A war on Terror"
then it was a war agains "Weapons of mass destruction"
then it moved to "We need to free the iraqi people"

I mean what was it?

It always has been a war on terror. The weapons of mass destruction are what they would have used against people to inflict terror and freeing the Iraqi people that was just a big bonus that came with getting rid of Saddam and his regim. Its always been a war on terror.

Not in this country it hasn't. The main reasons the UK joined forces (and fought most of the war might I add, we lost more troops than the US) with USA to fight against Iraq was because according to them there was weapons of mass destruction in the country (still not found them though have they).

Your country volunteered to help out with the war we didnt force them. And just because more troops from there died doesnt mean they fought most of the war they were all working together. It has already been proven when they fired the scud missles, Give them time they will find more. Saddam has had over a year to hide them Im sure they are hidden pretty well. Even if they never do find them you cant deny that Saddam is and was a threat he has killed with those weapons in the past on many innocent people and countries with no reason for doing so. He is evil anyway ya look at it.
