And Allen, this is MY opinion, so please don't get mad at me, but I believe being gay is a choice. So GOD did say you would burn in hell, there IS a scripture, and infact I posted it. So, god is not forcing any sin upon you, IMO.

Jess, even if being gay is a sin, won't God forgive you? After all, isn't that why he died for you?

Jesus died for our sins. But it doesn't just work that way. You have to repent. That means you ask for forgivness and don't do it again. Sometimes, we do fall back. However, God loves us so much he'll still forgive us.

The problem is, Gays KNOW what they're doing is wrong and against God's word, but they still do it. Therefore, it is not forgiven. You need to be truly sorry.

I think it's hilarious people have to be forgiven for being themselves.

I'm sure most really don't care. Plus, being who you are isn't being WRONG. Need to be truly sorry? Wow, yeah, maybe I should be truly sorry I was born being something that God didn't approve of, even though he created me, as Possum says.

And Possum - Not everyone believes in God, so your comment about how someone speaks and about them not having respect was extremely rude.

See Jess, and that is why I am very fond of you. You've got what you believe, but you're still compassionate. I wish more people were like you. That's like me, like I said, I'm extemely religious but I am also extremely open-minded and accepting of things, which is how I ended up where I am. Like I said, I didn't CHOOSE to fall in love with someone of the same sex. Things just happen and it's unexplainable but I don't feel I should be sorry for anything.

lol, well thank you. I just don't feel its my place to judge anyone. I believe what I do, sometimes I'll share, but your life isn't mine. You'll be the one who has to answer, not me.

God also taught us to love everyone no matter what, so I try my best with that.

I'm not religously fanatic, and I'm not going to follow to a T something I don't agree with exactly. I'm MUCH more spiritual than religious, because I DO think there are errors in the Bible, because it was written by man, theres always going to be errors in something when man kind is involved.

I also think the majority of religions today have strayed so far from where they should be it isn't even funny. The purpose of religion is to bring you closer to God, to form that relationship. I'm sorry if this offends some of you, but I made my peace with MY God a long time ago, and I have a relationship that works. I don't think the Bible is 100 percent accurate, I don't. I don't think that God meant for Women to be treated as second class citizens, I don't think he meant for women who were pregnant out of wedlock to burn in hell, and I DON'T think that you are going to burn in hell for being gay. That doesn't sound like my God, and whoever can chose to believe in that, but the God I believe in is NOT vengeful, He is forgiving ,and I believe we are His children, and He loves us.
I am a mom, and I know that I could never turn against my son for being gay, so why do I think that God would do that to His children? Thats a low opinion of God if I do say so myself.

Some of the stuff I have read in this thread has honestly made me sick to my stomach, cause some of you have NO right to make people feel like crap and sit in judgement of others. You know thats a sin right?

Let him without sin cast the first stone.
