Three 14-year-old boys have been accused of raping an 11-year-old girl and filming it on a mobile phone. Detectives are investigating claims that video clips of the sex assault were then sent to the handsets of other youngsters.

The "happy slapping" phenomenon, in which thugs use mobiles to film random attacks, has been reported across the country in recent weeks.The girl is a pupil at a comprehensive secondary school in London, which is not being named to protect her identity. She told police that she was attacked at a house, where she was socialising with a group of boys, after school on April 25.

Police believe one of the group filmed what was happening and sent it to at least one other phone a short time later.

What's an 11 year old girl doing socializing with a group of 14 year old boys? Where were her parents?

Anyway, that's just sick. What the hell is wrong with people these days? I hope these kids are tried as adults. If they can commit a crime as heinous as that, then they should be punished as adults. That's disguting.

Her parents were probably at home... not caring. 11year olds hang out with 14year olds here likes its a normal thing Ashleigh...

anyway that isn't the point. This is so sad, the girl must be in such trauma sigh, 11years old, she's still a child.

Sad thing is the kids will get a couple of years at juvie and thats it...

Yes this is horrible, I have been reading articles about those mobile phone's cameras, the technology has advanced so much that these cameras can really take good resolution pictures and videos.

So as a new technology comes, so does the people who has cruel intentions, they can take pictures of girls under their skirt without they realizing it, also they can take pictures of naked women in gyms, etc... and then send them throught the net...

But this one is too much.. imagine what kind of things they can do to violate your privacy, with a mobile phone

Lea, even if my daughter was 11 years old, I wouldn't have her talking to 14 year olds as it is. Usually, when a person is 11 years old, she hangs out with her group of girlfreinds, not a bunch of boys. Seriously, in todays society, with how corrupt it is, anything can happen.

I never said it was right, I'm just telling you this is how it is here. 11year olds in this country are having sex, drinking and smoking and hanging out with boys, going to parties etc. They are acting like adults but without any of the life experience and growing up yet, its really sad.

I think there is such a gap between 11 and 14. I think the parents need to take some control here.
