Funny. 98% of southerners are Republican now, and northerners Democrats. Weird how that switched around lol. And the Republicans freed the slaves yet most southerners are racist. LOL thats too funny and ironic.

I think that this whole label game stimulates hatred and violence. People who can't shut up labeling other people and putting them in groups and condemning the groups are never going to be treated with respect. I think both liberals and conservatives who love those two words a little too much, (and you'll see them sport the proverbial "Liberal" and "Conservative" t-shirts) are both wrong. Those "t-shirt Conservatives" see everything black and white. You're either this, and if not then you're that. For example, if one liberal does something wrong, then all liberals suck. They constantly put people together and brush them off. That's not realistic thinking.

In the same way "t-shirt Liberals" see only one color which is grey. They don't see any absolutes. No right, no wrong, no good, no evil. Everything is the same to them. Equal rights they talk about, but they take it a little too literal. There IS a right and a wrong.

The problem with these two sides in my mind is that both want sole power, pushing society to an extreme either way you go. Which is both going to be a problem. Everything about life is balance. There is no life without death, and there is no death without life. There is no day without night, and no night without day. Everything depends on eachother.

If you want a good working society, then you need liberals and conservatives to work TOGETHER. Put one liberal in a boat, give him a pedal and see how far he will come. The liberal goes to sit on the left side and peddles his ass off, and he realizes that the boat is going in circles. Put a conservative in that boat and let him peddle his ass off, and the boat will go in circles just the other way around. Put them BOTH in that boat, liberal peddling left, conservative peddling right, and voila, the boat goes straight!

Imagine America is that boat. You are ALL in the SAME boat! What the hell are you accomplishing trying to prevent eachother from peddling? Your boat stays in the same damn place, and a boat that doesn't move is an easy target for the rats sitting ashore. Just think about it. Use brain.

And... Stop fighting eachother! Learn to work together. That means giving and taking. But keep your boat moving, and by God, keep it moving straight.

That was my speech.

Yeah, the parties switched around, how I don't know, but I just finished reading "Gone with the Wind" a while ago, and it explains it a lot better than I can. I guess Abe Lincoln was a Republican but now he would be considered a Democrat. Republicans were Yankees and carpetbaggers.

Stinger-It would be nice, in fact a utopia if people could live/work together. Both sides need to bend a little, but neither side is. Right now democrats should NOT be bending over backwards, because if Bush is allowed to do whatever he wants with no oppisition in the senate/congress we'll end up with abortion outlawed, an addition to our constitution that prohibits gay marriages and a lot of our natural resources eliminated. I just read in the paper that Bush wants to allow the state to be able to decide what to do with our forests. Which means a lot will probley be decimated to make way for more malls and suburbs. Gah. No thinking about tomorrow I tell you. Wait till our children have NOTHING left.
