We were also in a war in Bosnia, where one of my close friends almost got killed, and my family was out of work for 2 years.

Opposed to the thousands of soldiers killed now, and the millions out of work today. Yeah.

Does it REALLY matter how many are dying? A war is a war right? Dead people are dead people right?

I don't really believe the economy is something a President can really control. It just goes up and down during certain times. I mean there are little things they can TRY to do and help, but yeah. I don't blame Clinton for my family's lack of work, hell I'm starting to like the man he is NOW, but the times weren't really simple then. My father worked in a certain field that didn't call for work at the time; just like how its like that now.

Yes it does matter how many people die, at least to me. I don't think Bosnia was even a war, it was a conflict. I mean if , say the Civil War had killed two people it wouldn't be that big of a deal, just a bump in history. Because it killed THOUSANDS, it is a big deal.

I do believe that there are things a president can do to control the economy. Perhaps not declaring war on every country and putting our tax dollars into it, hmm? And giving tax breaks to the wealthy really really helped a LOT!

I guess it's only a coincidance that when the Sr Bush was in office the econmy was crap, then Clinton fixed it, then Bush Jr got in and it went to crap again.

And times were simple for me. I wasn't even talking about times being simpler for everyone, that reference was about myself. MY life was simpler, but you had to take it and run and tell me how horrible it was back then.

Yup. Clinton was lucky, whoever was president at the time would have had a booming economy durring his second term. So even if it was Bob Dole in 1996-2000, the economy would still be great because of all of the gadgets and gizmos and stuff being created that no one used before. So it also depends on whats going on technologicly as well.

Are you trying to make this a Republican vs Democrat thing? Cause thats not what I was aiming for at all.

My point was that NOONE freaking gives Clinton credit for being a good president. He was a good president but everyone who has their nose up the Republican ticket's behind will never admit it.

Plus you just totally contradicted what you posted up there, btw
