"The Amityville Horror" was awesome, I loved it. I'm glad it's #1.

I think so many of the "horror" movies that have come out in the past few years have just been...a joke. They're all rated PG-13 which sacrifices A LOT of possible content for some extra $$ at the box offices. I hate how they're directed towards like, preteens and the like...I want a hardcore scary ass horror flick people!!

I knooooow, people say the rating doesn't mean anything but I think as far as horror movies go it does. I also thinks this proves that you can have a rated R horror movie do well with the rating, it doesn't need to be washed up or geared towards a younger audiance. At the same time though the numbers might have been better had it been PG-13

Ratings DOOOO matter LOL, I'm so glad someone else sees that!! Take "SWAT" for example...great movie, IMO but there wasn't NEARLY enough fighting/explosions/whatnot...cause it was PG-13...had that movie been rated R it would have been a lot better!

And yeah, i think if Amityville Horror had been rated PG-13 it DEFINITELY would have had higher numbers but I'm glad they decided to go with the R rating rather than just worrying about the money. That makes me happy <3
