| I can't believe I wasted $9 to see this. I was so excited to see it and I was majorly disappointed. The twsit was so beyond retarded that it killed the whole movie. That movie could have been so much better and creepier that its almost a crime it didnt turn out that way. I def recommend not to see it cause it aint worth it. The ending came out of nowhere and it was so abrupt. They could have done way more with this movie, but bad writing and plot killed it. It started off pretty good, but alot of talking slowed it down, and half way thru the movie is where all hope is lost on it being a good/decent movie.

| I see a lot of people were disappointed in the movie because of the twist. Well, I think there's a very good reason for that, and a good solution. People are going into this movie having already seen Signs and Sixth Sense. So they're already expecting a big twist and right from the opening credits are searching for clues in the movie and trying to put them together right away.
What I think would be a good solution, is that M.Night Shyamalan needs to start doing his movies under different secret aliases, to prevent people from expecting these twists. That way, they don't search for the clues, and watch the movie for what it is. Otherwise, his movies are going to be slipping down the drain and through the cracks with each one. |

I started out watching the movie looking for clues and hidden things and then I realized that I was missing all of what was going on so I stopped. Watching for clues is something for the third or fourth viewing I think, NOT the first! Quote: Originally posted by Tom So it's not really a thriller? | It's a psychological thriller, IMO. There were some parts that made you jump, but I think more than anything it just messed with your head. |

| I wasn't watching it for the clues to the twist. I just wanted to watch it for what it was. The twist in my opinion was just stupid. That is what the main reason was for the movie being so bad. The writing and long parts where nothing happened except for talking also killed the movie. I definitley do not reccomend people to see it.

| I promised myself, going into the movie, that I wasn't going to watch for the clues. But I still found myself doing it. I couldn't help it. But it was okay, because by me resisting to do it, I was able to stop myself through most of it. | Spoiler! | I enjoyed the movie, thoroughly, though. I thought Bryce did an amazing job with her role. I don't think Joaquin was in it enough to say the same for him. I found Lucius to be almost one-dimensional. We weren't really given the chance to get to know him, really. I mean, we picked up a clue here and there, but nothing ground breaking, ya know?
It was a really good movie. The twist was predictable, though. But like I said, that's just because I was looking for clues. Overall it was a great movie. |

| I have a question for those who've seen the movie, I havn't seen it but here's the question: | Spoiler! | | My cousin was listening to a radio station here in Chicago and they just told the ending right off the bat to everyone, according to him. He said that in the ending, they find out that the things in the forest are aliens. But, they're not really aliens. The aliens are the people that are the hed of the village and they just made the forest seem very spooky so no one would leave the town and become bad or something like that. Is this true? |
