well, lemme break it down for ya .. in this country our military is OPTIONAL! something those leaders keep safe for us so we don't have to go to war if we don't want to.

As much as respect your opinion all I have to say to that is Go fuck yourself. I
enlisted in the United States Army and I find that remark of yours very disrespectful. If
you don't support the war, fine. Neither do I. I think Bush is a dickhead, too. But your
comment is a bit fucked up in my opinion.

I didn't join the military cause I support the government's policies, I joined cause I love my
country. I joined for the experience. Play with death? Fuck that. A lot of people who
joined the military joined to pay off their damn college tuition.

Consider yourself lucky I can't touch you from here, ‘cause if I could I'd knock your teeth
out.

Let me ask you something. Do you live in America? Cause that is about the most unfeeling thing I have ever heard. Those people are protecting our country from a man who has the potential to kill us! He has killed thousands of his own people already. If he could he'd be in America slaughtering all of us right now in our beds! BTW, Most people don't sign up to "play with death" as you put it. My dad is in the air force reserves. He signed up not because he needed the money (he has a well paying job as a flight engineer already) but because he felt he owed it to his country. My brother is signing up because the navy will pay for his medical school expenses if he is with them for 4 years. Neither of them have a death wish, as you seem to think all people who enlist do.

Do you know that most of those citizens are happy the war is coming? They live in terror of Sadaam Hussein. He kills anyone who disagrees with him. These people live in absolute poverty. I am so thankful that I live in a country where I can bitch about if I'm getting fat or not. My dad has been to these countries and seen these people and he has told me some horror stories. There are kids on those streets over there whose parents cut off their arms so they can receive more money from begging. Yes, They are already dying over there. But they aren't dying from America's hands. They are dying from their "great" leader who only cares about himself.
BTW, this war is going to be about as bloodless as they came. The army is not going over there bombing villages and killing innocent people.

Now what 'business buildings" would this be? The ones where Sadaam Hussein is hiding? These people have a little bit more to worry about than their streets.

You have a point on this one. The instance President Bush starts killing thousands of US citizens is the instant I start speaking up really quick and lose all patriosim.

The magority vote does not always determine the president. actually our vote doesn't really count for much. From what I learned in my US Goverment class the House Of Electors decides who the President will or will not be. So , it doesn't really matter who the 'magority' voted for.(Someone correct me if I am wrong on this High School was a few years ago, and I slept a lot in that class because the teacher was dreadfully dull)
Notice I said I also did not agree with our President in my previous post. The point I was getting at in my former post, was that I was not going to speak out against the President anymore and support our troops. Nowhere did I state that noone else couldn't. I was stating what My belief structure was. And it sitll is. In times of war Americans should band together in my opinion. So no that does not include when the President wasn't even elected. We weren't in war yet were we?
Quote:

I don't think I need to step back and get any perspective on this. I like mine just fine. I don't consider myself brainwashed at all. Supporting people who are laying their lives on the line for me does not make me brainwashed, it makes me a good citizen. Geez, thats just common courtesy to me. Not many people seem to have THAT anymore though.

BTW..I'm sooo sick of this anti-American attitude. Everytime I turn arround in a thread someone is saying how stuck up Americans are. I have kept my mouth shut about it but I'm so sick of it. I try not to sterotype any country, and speak bad about them, but it seems that noone has the same respect for Americans because we "have everything" blah blah blah. But you betcha is someone said something about THEIR country they would be up in arms about it.
This isn't directed at anyone in paticular btw, its just a rant.

the columbine killers supported their country too... they bought guns and ammunition, supporting america's economy... just because you support your country, doesn't mean you're doing the right thing... and certainly doesn't make you a hero...

citizens in iraq and afghanistan were being slaughtered, months before this war even started... you dont know this, because your "news" coverage wont show it to you.

OHHHHH, thats RIGHT!!! GOVERNMENT buildings are crucial for a country... right.. im sure if i burned down the white house, america wouldn't give a shit...

...oh wait.. canadians already did burn down the white house... right after we kicked your ass in our little war...

Oh and I bet it will be a doozy! Tons of misinformation taken from people who don't like America. How accurate. I don't know what country you're from, but I pity them for having you as a resident or even someone who remotely thinks like you. Nothing you say is credible, and is all pretty much YOUR OPINION. Nothing about what you've said contained any truths but someone's bitter resentment towards Americans. And if you're from America, may you die in a car wreck tomorrow.

Nobody's forcing your brainless ass to reply. So stop wasting your own time, simply because everything you've said is pretty much bullshit. Have a nice day.
