| Eh...it doesn't seem like such a big deal! The guy can say what he wants and whether everybody agrees with him or not is besides the point. Quote: |
america was founded on freedom of speech, and the right to believe in whatever you want... america was not founded on just blindly believing in whatever government tells you to do...

america was founded on freedom of speech, and the right to believe in whatever you want... america was not founded on just blindly believing in whatever government tells you to do... thats why there was an american revolution.. as far as im concerned, michael moore is more american than anyone who just blindly follows whatever bush does... | First of all how old are all the congressman's daughters and son's? Are they of enlisting age? Second of all, just because their parents are in congress/Presidents , etc that doesn't mean they have to serve. It is not required to serve in America, unlike other countries, unless a draft is placed.
BTW, women are not allowed in the line of fire in the armed forces. I doubt Bush thinks his daughter's blood is better than anyone elses.
I agree with your statemant on the freedom of speech. Hell over that Dixie Chicks boycott I was ranting and raving about it. But now that we are in war, I will not say anything unpatriotic about our nation or our president. I am not a Bush supporter at all. But I am going to trust in the men in congress and our nations leaders and support our troops 100%. Those men and women are out there fighting for us and Michael Moore, so the best thing he can do is support them.
I believe in the statement United we stand , divided we fall.
Don't get me wrong, I still believe in freedom of speech, but I also believe in being Patriotic. |

| why debate the war? there isnt much to debate. pple are just bitching bout Bush. its like stfu already. go and protest adn get tear gassed and arrested as apposed to just going with the flow. i dunno my views have changed a lot, but not once have i ever put down Bush. there isnt a reason to. it was inevitable, even if it happened now or 10 years later. |

| supporting the troops IS supporting the war... this war is ILLEGAL, and these troops are committing murder... i feel no sympathy for these troops whatsoever... they are soldiers who enlisted to play with death... so if they die, and die they will, then that is simple probability...
what isn't simple probability are all the baghdad civilians who are being killed and who are watching their hometown being demolished...
if this is really "operation: iraqi freedom", how come their city streets are being blown to shit? how come bush calls oil a valuable resource to the iraqi, but doesn't consider their business buildings to be "valuable" at all, when blows them off the face of the earth...
being patriotic means standing up for what you think is best for your country, even if it goes against your leaders...
let me ask you, what would it mean to be patriotic for an iraqi? you say, that supporting your country's leader even though you disagree with him is being patriotic.. well in that sense, then iraqis should support saddam hussein, and be "patriotic" and unite with their leader in this time of war...
being patriotic means nothing more than loving your country... and that CAN mean disagreeing with your leader... the majority of americans did not even vote for george bush... were they being unpatriotic for voting against the future president? for disagreeing with him?
i suggest you take a step back, and get some other perspectives on this, because americans are aboot as brainwashed as they come...
and that is the entire point of Bowling for Columbine... and thats the very reason it's recieved such international AND american acclaim.
do yourself a favour and see the movie, if you haven't already..
the [tmd] versions off kazaa (161 megs for part 1, 153 megs for part 2) are legitimate... |

and i quote:
"make the defense of america our number one priority"
well thats certainly more important than the economic welfare of the country... |
