Default S Club Movie?!?!?!

S Club Sees 'Double' In Film Debut

Popular British teen pop group S Club is heading to the big screen in "Seeing Double," which video director Nigel Dick is in negotiations to direct. The Sony Pictures will be distributed in the United Kingdom but no domestic release date is being planned for now. Kim Fuller ("Spice World") wrote the original script for "Double," which Sally Robinson ("A Far Off Place") is rewriting. The project, which will begin shooting in the fall, is about the adventures of six young adults -- four girls and two boys -- in their early 20s.

S Club, originally known as S Club 7, is composed of Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, Rachel Stevens, Bradley Mcintosh, and Jo O'Meara. The group was created in 1999 by Fuller, who handpicked the teens from nearly 10,000 hopefuls. The group was renamed S Club earlier this year after seventh member Paul Cattermole departed.

Working in both music and television, the group has released several pop albums, including "S Club," "7" and this year's "Sunshine." Since its inception, the group has been a staple on what was formerly the Fox Family Channel (now ABC Family) in its own series, 1999's "S Club 7 in Miami," 2000's "S Club 7 in L.A.," and last year's "S Club 7 in Hollywood."

The group also starred in two telefilms -- "S Club 7: Artistic Differences" and "S Club 7 in New Zealand." Four direct-to-video projects also were released, including "S Club 7: Bring It All Back (To You)," "C Club 7 -- It's an S Club Thing," "S Club 7: Reach," and "S Club 7: S Club Party."

Dick has directed numerous music videos for such artists as Nickelback, Britney Spears, 'N Sync, and Savage Garden. Other credits include the MTV telefilm "2gether," HBO's "The Elevator," and Propaganda Films' "Dead Connection."

They're pretty cool.
It kinda sucks how USA radio sort of forgot about them after 'Never Had a Dream Come True.'

Well, if they would have released a single and album here, it might help.

I doubt the movie will do well. It's too spice-world-corny-pop-try-too-hard. No offense S Club fans. Maybe if it had substance and a good plot it would do okay.
