I don't understand WHY Samara was killed, nor why and how she got into the tv. . I mean she died, is that her soul haunting these people ? If anyone can give me the history of this film or something It would be appreciated, Ive visited some FAQ's but didnt find these questions..hmm!

If you remember in the film, they mention that when Samara was around, everything was bad on that island. People were sick, horses would die, etc. etc. And though the mother loved Samara, Samara was causing too much pain and grief, so she figured that killing her would solve everything.

Okay, Its too hard to explain the TV thing. Can somebody else do it? It makes sense to me, but it doesnt make sense when I type it.

But the TV thing, I didnt understand a shiaaaaat, lol...how was she even able to get into the tv? or make ppl see the videotape ? She died, so was it her soul/ghost who haunted these people and killed them ? lol this movie is SO complicated!

Okay, watching the movie, we learn that Samara's parents went away somewhere to try and have a baby. But we've also learned that it is basically impossible for Anna Morgan (the mother) to have a natural baby. So its automatically assumed that she's adopted. HOWEVER, if you were quick enough to catch this, in the film we see that there is a CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH for Samara Morgan. Which means that Anna Morgan had to have given birth to Samara. Otherwise, Anna would've had a RECORD OF BIRTH, if Samara was adopted. But since it was a medical impossibility for Anna Morgan to have a baby, we can assume that she was some sort of artificial scientific/genetic creation. Now, I'm assuming, that somehow in the processes of creating Samara, something went wrong. She came out, not neccessarily evil, but we'll call her special. If she was evil, she would've intentionally tried to harm people and animals. Instead, she's trying to get revenge for the poor treatment recieved by her parents. Make sense?

As for the TV Part, I'm gonna take another stab. I wouldn't say anybody is being haunted. Because there is no ghostly presence. If there was, it would be affecting more people than just those who have seen this video tape.
Its more like a curse. After watching the video, which was created by images that come from Samara's mind. (We learn that she can use her mind to imprint images into different forms of media ie: The images on the film the doctor is holding in the psychiatric hospital, The video tape, and the image of the burning tree in the barn.) It can't really be explained, but thats one rule of watching a horror film: It doesn't have to be plausable, it just has to make sense in some form or another.
Now, she can control these images with her mind. Remember, she never sleeps, therefore is only physically dead, but is spiritually still alive. Now, this is simply my theory and not actual fact, but I think that Samara's "alive" in the video tape. The video tape is almost like a magic lamp. You watch it, you release her from her magic lamp. Its her spirit inside this video tape that sends of some sort of vibes and draws you towards it, and makes you watch it. But once you've started watching it, she's got you in her hand. But she doesn't let you finish it. By this time, she's out of her "magic lamp" and is free to rome the earth. But she chooses to stay in her well/lamp so she can play with you for a few days.

Then on the seventh day, she finally comes out, and does what she set out to do on the first day.

I dont know if that really makes sense. Its basically mostly theory. Its not even the real explanation, its just something that may help you understand.


OKAY, BASICALLY SAMARA IS INSIDE THE TAPE, AND THE TV IS HER GATEWAY INTO THE REAL WORLD. YOU WATCH IT, YOU'VE OPENED THE GATEWAY. SHE GETS PISSED OFF BECAUSE YOU WOKE HER UP, SHE KILLS YOU, SHE GOES BACK TO SLEEP!
