Nicolas Cage is learning German so he can speak the language when he spends time with his family in the Bavarian castle he is currently renovating.
Last year the actor bought the dilapidated 11th century 10-bedroom Schloss Neidstein castle and has set about restoring it to its former glory.
And in a bid to fit in with locals, Oscar winner Cage is taking lessons in how to speak German. He says, "I booked a Berlitz (language school) course. It will take some time until I'm done but in a year or so I will be able to have a conversation in German."
Well, Bavarian castle! Poor Nicholas!
