'The Ring' and 'The Grudge' have something in common I'm not sure what (either producers, writers, directors). (I'm of course talking about the Japenese versions, not the American ones.)

'The Grudge' (the american version) is actually being directed by the original 'Ju-on:The Grude' director. I've seen clips of the American one and so far it looks like almost a shot by shot remake of the Japanese. They even use the same house as in the Japanese one. I'm not sure if it's the same story though, or if it's going to go the same way.

Spoiler!
If it is going to go the same way as the Japanese one then SMG is gonna die.

Oooooooooooh Yes, I'm dying to see "The Grudge " too. I saw some stuff on TRL about it, and the director IS the director from the original one, but he doesn't speak English, so Sarah had to get an interpretor to figure out what he wanted. Sarah <33 I'm so glad shes going to be in a decent movie after those Scooby Doo's.

And I loved the Ring. Scared the hell outa me.

Raul I know that Ringu and Ju On (the grudge) are similar, most japanese horror films are actually. I just hope they don't hollywood up the film to much.

but if you say its a shot by shot thing, that great I can't wait.

I recommend Dark Water to you Raul if you like these type of films. Its in japanese too....
