He's great in it, but the movie is weird. I liked it, but my male friends didn't. It's not one I would see again or even buy. Possibly rent.

That's right... I didn't enjoy it much, but it was worth to see at least. Of course, I didn't have to pay for this one.

Spoiler!
I heard people laughing in the theatre at times, but I couldn't seem to find the humour in it. Carrey does some of his Ace Ventura moves, which I think were rather misplaced in this movie.

He played the character really well as usual, though it would have been much better if it weren't for that, I think. Die hard Jim Carrey fans will not have a problem here though.

I could appreciate the narrator, that did a lot of good to the movie. I found the story interesting here and there, yet a bit too predicatable for me. All in all I think this is the type of movie you have to love, in order to like. If that makes sense.

I've read the books. So i want to see the movie. But from the previews it looks like Jim Carrey totally massacred the part of Count Olaf. The books are not a comedy!! But they have clever humor out of teh situations. This mvoie seems really slapstick. I mgiht rent it when its on DVD. I hope it lives up to the wittyness of the books.

I saw this movie a few weeks ago with my brother and I LOVED it. Jim Carrey was amazing and just hearing Jude's voice every now and then was great

The story overall was really cute I thought and very entertaining. I know I'm planning on buying it when it comes out and now I REALLY want to read the books!

I love Jim Carrey but this movie just looks DUMB! We read some of the scenes as a play in school and I was totally confused, I might check this out when its on DVD.

I've read all 11 books. I've been a fan since the books first came out, and the movie was AMAZING.
